  1. I think you'd be able to tell the difference, especially if you mix in the RFID tags and hallway video feed.
  2. NB: (Prepares hat as about to do a Ken) Even though this can be put into the group of Domestic Violence, then include all extreme cases of Domestic Violence, if you don't mind, to avoid thread creep.
  3. The CBR, isn't that who Jane works for in The Mentalist?
  4. What were Yorkshire Forward, aren't there many people working to bring in investment, like the Chambers of Commerce. Also, isn't this what the local council are supposed to be doing, why set up another mirrored council to do the same thing as the existing one is already supposed to be doing, hmmm, i'm starting to repeat myself now...!
  5. Very true, I did mean to note that, but a stricter training and 'making' example cases could help cut that. Say some kind of national charity training standards thing... a group which has to be allowed to give training seminars to registered care homes. Good language skills would be required to unsure proper delivery to all involved.
  6. Voice and sound recognition, a slap and such should be quite distinctive...?
  7. Go on then... And what are the common themes of causation which can be extrapolated from those studies?
  8. mmm, it's totally the cost and mission creep. How long before we have regional governments back on the agenda... would you really want the independent state of South Yorkshire?
  9. That was a secret camera placed by the daughter. Something like this would facilitate such action if you were worried about someone in a similar situation. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=pen+camera&x=0&y=0 I'd hazard that it's technically illegal to do such things though...
  10. Hence the last line. By having two culpable members of staff, it should mean less incidents (such as this, single male), but in no way am I negating the fact of complicity, especially in this sector since we've seen too many examples recently involving numerous members of staff.
  11. Do we want, need or even afford city Mayors in the UK? http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/apr/03/mayors-wont-solve-regional-inequality-england Here's a quick GirectGov quote on types of Mayors http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Governmentcitizensandrights/UKgovernment/Localgovernment/DG_073313 Here's what the PM has said: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/david-cameron-urges-yes-vote-for-city-mayors-7670236.html and here's the opposition... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/8226017/Ed-Miliband-faces-Labour-split-over-candidates-for-city-mayors.html By the way, if you want to discuss who you want for Sheffield Mayor, then please use the thread in Sheffield Discussions... Who should run for Sheffield's Mayor?
  12. My first thought was to involve cameras, but... So what about RFID tags (e.g. work id), so that an alarm sounds if only one RFID tag enters a room, i.e. always need to be in multiples. Also these time logs can be viewed by appointed persons of responsibility. Won't stop abuse, but will ensure two staff are present at all time in private areas.
  13. This troll statement will just drag this thread off topic and into some kinda comparison which will in the end all views will be blamed on, yep, racism, again. What can you do to solve THIS particular issue?
