Thanks everyone for your input. Now its just to decided whether or not to go ahead. What does everyone mean by 'snagging'?

Hi Everyone. Myself and Partner have been to look around the Gateways new development in Handsworth which has been done by Barratt homes. It is near to the end of the development with only 9 homes left to build. We are strongly thinking about buying one. However, looking on the internet, all we have found is negative review upon negative review. We were wondering if there are any people that live on that site currently that would share their experiences with us. Its so hard because most people who leave a review do it because they are unhappy and so therefore it tends to be a very biased view. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I dont feel that the Stonewall message promotes homosexuality as being gay is not actually a choice. Therefore it cannot be promoted. It simply is trying to make it a little easier for gay people in society to feel more integrated. I bet all of the straight people in here would happily walk down the street holding hands with their loved ones. I, as a gay man have been with my partner for four years and have never felt comfortable enough to hold his hand in public. This may be my own insecurity and maybe i shouldnt care what other people think, but it is still not right to have people feeling like this in a modern day Britain.

I've just been to the new Barbers Shop called Alpha Barbers on Snig Hill. It is at the side of Snig Hill Police Headquarters. I was so impressed with the service provided here that I wanted to write about it. Was immediately welcomed and offered a drink. Then it was time for hair shampoo and condition which was really nice and relaxing. The owner then cut my hair and she did a consultation to see exactly what it was I wanted. She was extremely knowledgeable in all things male hair. She offered tips for styling and on products to use etc. They offer 10% off for Students and NHS workers. They also have a website which is at http://www.alphamalebarbers.co.uk I am genuinely impressed with this service and this is why i felt the need to promote them. Shane

ZIPPY...No offence was intended..I was repeating what hearsay stories are out and about....Apologies for that! It would be great if we all worked in unison and we do when its needed such as big events or disasters.I think its quite natural for competition to develop between the organisations. Lets call it quits and not go down that route again

In Derbyshire?!?! Well Derbyshire volunteers still come to Arena to do duties so once youre all qualified u will be able to come to arena!!! Do u live in Sheffield?? Would Sheffield be easier?? xx

Hi Hope that you're well Im an active member of Red Cross and have been for 5 years We tend to get a lot of volunteers coming to us from SJA and also have to try and cover a lot of duties last minute because SJA apparently let the organisers down.. However, this is all opinions probably. BUT....the best thing is that we have the contract for the medical cover at the Arena and so we get to go to all of the shows there which is pretty cool.. Everyone is really nice.. Theres a few 'quirky' people but i think that thats normal in a voluntary organisation. The other good thing bout BRC as opposed to SJA is that although we do A LOT in terms of first aid cover and training etc. We also have other projects that people can get involved in such as home from hospital Emergency response for if any disaster happened ambulance work fire and emergency support international tracing and messaging refugee work skin camouflage medical loan therapeutic massage....i think this is mosto f them they all run from the same office so if people want to side step into other sections. it is possible. However, there tends to be more than enough in terms of event first aid to keep u busy. Have u spoken to Sarah?? She is our co.ordinator for S Yorks??? x

I made a complaint against first bus driver this week!! I paid my £1.60 fare which i do every morning to get me to work at the northern general!! He pulled up before the hosp and shouted " Ure fares up so get off!"" I tried to defend my case but he kicked me off the bus at 6am in pitsmoor!! He also gave me a £0.00 ticket so is poss pocketing the money I was SO embarrassed and upset that I complained and they have replied..Given me some free bus travel and he is going to be having a disciplinary with his manage!! Horrid person!!

Hey Whats the St Johns group like in Sheffield?? What sort of things do the nurses get to do?? My award has been accredited by IHCD lol...Ive just double checked the certificate and yeah it is accredited by them....I dont really get what u mean by that comment tbh..please explain!! Thanks

Hey Im a registered Nurse and IHCD qualified with British Red Cross. I see from your website that the lady has a 'nurse' flash in her hi vis and i was wondering if nurses actually work as nurses or first aiders.

What are your opinions on this version of chess on at the lyceum? I went last night with the boyfriend and it was a truly fantastic show. The vocals were genuinely fantastic. In particular, the character of Anatoly, played by Daniel Koek. I don't usually enjoy male voices but his voice was so incredibly round and smooth. I have to admit, i couldnt understand a lot of what was being sung by certain performers but the production as a whole was second to none. The staging was exciting and enticing. Costumes were fabulous and extremely sexy!!! As a gay man..I was often looking at the half naked men but I found myself staring at the Black Queen a lot as she looked like queen Latifa and was stunning. The lady playing FLorence seemed to struggle with the high notes in the first act but in the second act she was truly flawless. The Anthem reprise that she did for the finale was nigh on perfect. Her duet with Svetlana of I know him so well really showed me what that song was about and it fit perfectly into the story!! Sorry bout it being long winded... Just really got me going xxx
