where would you most prefer to go out in sheffield for a gig? how do you find out whats on? do you think the sheffield star should advertise local music more?

i'm doing an assignment on how local media helpes promote music in sheffield. so... how do you find out about local bands and gigs? and what are your favourite venues? would you like to see more publicity for local music and performances or do you find there are more important things to be advertised?
