  1. I've just been watching a repeat of Location Location Location when they were looking for a house in Sheffield. At the end they liked the house by the stream. Does anyone know which part of Sheffield this property was in? Thanks
  2. It's not roseacea, just slightly red on the cheeks. It's not a problem most of the time so I think it's just that the skin is more sensitive there than anywhere else on my face. I will look into the cream you suggest, I don't mind paying a bit more if it works. Thanks for the advice.
  3. My cats are sharing a tray, we have moved the tray to the corner where she had poo-ed on the carpet and it hasn't happened since. It must have just been a one off.
  4. Can anyone give me advice on why my cat is pooping outside the litter tray. We have 2 cats, Monica is 2 years old and is the one that has started to poop outside the tray. She seems happy enough in herself so doesn't seem ill, it's now happened twice and in exactly the same place right next to the litter tray. We are moving house in a couple of weeks and have been boxing things up over the last 3 weeks or so, could she just be a bit stressed with it? We have now moved the litter tray to the area she is pooping to see if that stops her, hopefully she won't just do her business in a new place!
  5. Can anyone recommend a good moisturiser? I have combination skin with some large pores and redness on my cheeks. I'm currently using one of Boots own brands which is ok for moisturising but doesn't help the large pores or the redness. Any advice would be appreciated.
  6. We have two cats, one very calm Monica and one not so calm Fuzzy. We are moving to the east coast at the end of the month and feel that the cats will need something to help them stay calm in a cat carrier for a couple of hours without getting distressed. Does anyone have any advice?
  7. I stayed in Jersey, I think it was St Aubin, about 15 years ago. I have very fond memories of it, it's a lovely place and has some historic sites to visit too. I would definately recommend it.
  8. We are in need of removal boxes asap. Does anyone have any that they don't need any more?
  9. I have lived in this country all my life, so far, and have worked since I was 16 so have paid taxes also. As in this country we generally don't get a say where our taxes go I don't see the issue that alot of people have with immigrants coming into the country. I think whenever there is any news item regarding someone "foreign" it just brings the racists out in the open. I personally don't have an issue with anyone coming here whether they work or claim benefits, it doesn't affect me, my family or my lifestyle and i would love to hear from people who actually are affected by immigrants living in the same country as them. As for this Romanian woman, it sounds like she has been through an awful experience and I hope she manages to enjoy the rest of her life whether it be in Sheffield or Romania.
  10. I was working at Spital Hill jobcentre and went to The Gower pub for a couple of hours at lunchtime where my mates had organised a tarzanagram. I still remember having to extract the banana from his pants with my teeth! lol Got merry on Black Russians and then went back to work where I did no work and then went out again for more drinks in Berlins after work. Good times!
  11. We adopted Monica yesterday from Rain Rescue. She is gorgeous and a lovely calm cat, it feels like she has been here ages. Me and my other half, Peter, love her already. We are so appreciative of all the help from Magsie, she is a credit to Rain Rescue and clearly cares for cats, even though she isn't a "cat person" lol We will post some pics in the near future.
  12. We live at Meadowhead so not too far away from Jordanthorpe or Batemoor. I've not heard anything bad about either area. I also used to go to Meadowhead school although the area isn't recognisable now, looks strange having a new building there.
  13. Unfortunately it wasn't my friends cat. Pity.
  14. My friends cat went missing 3 weeks ago from Catcliffe in Rotherham. I've just told her to have a look and see if this one is hers. That would be great news if it is and she gets him home for christmas.
  15. I work for the jobcentre and I know for a fact that you can't claim any benefits for pets and have never been able too so I'm afraid your friend was misled or you were just trying to get a rise out of the forum!
  16. Yes I think we will as the name suits him, although our last 2 cats all ended up being called Puss lol
  17. We are so looking forward to having Fuzzy in our family after Christmas, he will be a welcome addition.
  18. I can think of someone more deserving to go in those tunnels!
  19. We are going to be moving from Sheffield 8 to Chapel St Leonards in Lincolnshire around February/March next year. Does anyone know of any good removal companies that would move us?
  20. We are hoping to move to Chapel St Leonards in 2011 and would love to get married there, I think the nearest place is Spilsby to get married in a registry office but in my dreams a beach wedding would be ideal. Does anyone know if this would be possible??
  21. My absolute favourite nightclub was Romeo and Juliets, I used to go there as often as I could. I used to love being able to go from one club to the other if you fancied a change of music. I met a lovely man in there in my 20's, makes me smile when I think of him picking me up on the dance floor and I almost kicked someone in the head! Good times, good times lol
  22. I'm waiting for a parcel from Amazon which was ordered 2nd December. It took 2 weeks to get from Scotland to Sheffield per the online tracking. It has been shown as out for delivery from Sheffield South office for 2 days from 15th to 16th but has never arrived and i've not had a card through the door to say they have tried to deliver. So where is it??
  23. My dad used to work at Firth Browns in the 1970's, Steve St Clair, I'm not sure what job he did though. He got made redundant in the early 80's I think.
  24. Mr Postman I wonder if people get confused as there is a sign on the wall next to the carpark saying Vistors Parking, this would be the first thing that drivers would see rather than a sign on the gates which would be open and may not be in clear view. Also the office is open from 7.30 for people to collect parcels and shuts at 12.00 so they can only park in the car park from 10.30??
