  1. Up hill? What you on about, do you stand on your head? The roof is not well made rain comes through!
  2. Hay car boot that's not giving your own city much support! Although I will say at least all the pubs in Barnsley are closer together and their market is better than grim Leeds.
  3. Well my experience of Leeds is a very mixed view! The Trinty centre is not all that it is hyped up about! Yes there are lots of places to eat in there, but I wouldn't say it is well covered from the bad weather Leeds seem to get lol. Also my last visit to this fantastic City (not) I had my handbag stolen whilst in Costa Coffee. The service I received from West Yorkshire police was very poor. They just spoke to me over the phone and did not rush down to the shop, in fact they never entered the shop to collect or look at the cctv. What do I pay my taxes for with this service!!
  4. Yes i agree it does give indivduals their on choice to self medicate, however how do you know what it would be like to have medical attention of any sort if you havent tried it? Then you would understand how it works.!
  5. I am not saying self medicating is a bad thing, I am interseted in what helps people deal with everyday lives, wether it be turning to alchol as a comfort of food. Which in my case I do. Over exercising can be a a form of self medicating which releases the endorphins. So what im asking is for example how would over eatting help people with everyday problmes? It helps me for a very short time when eatting it but then sets of a viciuos circle for me that makes me more emotinally upset as i gain weight!
  6. This is a way of self medicating then would you not say? If you can now divert bad days? Which in your case Twibstix, is a good thing dont you think?
  7. This is an interesting Interviewer, what you say about given you "illusory control". Do you feel if you was to seek proffesional help you would not be in control anymore?
  8. Why do people prefer to self medicate to help with stress, depression or emotional times in thier lives, than seek professional help? What comfort and bennifits is there in what they do to achieve their self medication?
  9. I turn to food for comfort, makes me feel better for a while then I feel worse for eating!
  10. Can people give me thier ways of coping with stress and upset in thier lives? How do you self medicate to make yourselves feel better better?
  11. I have also recently been on a speed awareness course. I was not surprised that it was mainly dominated by women on the course i attended. My thoughts were that boy racers would rather collect the points than sit on a very interesting course and be shown up! It does make you realise how easily the fines can be avoided! However I also know how easy it is too loose concentration very quickly on the roads and become unaware of your speed. As for the fine for the course it is rather steep but if it saves points on your licence in return that your car insurance can go up by 25% with some companies.
  12. I have always had a dream to have a good career. However after having 3 children I finally started to make progree and applied for uni at the age of 40. When I 1st went I did wonder If i would be the oldest one there as It always emed to be people that left school that went onto university. It would not have bothered me if I was the oldest as i get on with everyone and to my surprise there are a mixed age range, and I love uni life!
  13. Thank you interviewer, after the insults that were removed, I have had some very good advise on the forum for me now to follow up.
