  1. Anybody know what was going on in Ranmmor/Fulwood on Saturday night around 9.40pm. 5 police BMW X5s went tearing up Fulwood Road with lights and sirens going followed by a couple of nornal police cars?
  2. Call me optimistic but I think freeview will be great after the digital switch over. The Sheffield transmitter will be turned up so that it's power goes from 50watt to about a Killawatt. It's just a shame that the signal is so feeble at the moment. I hope I won't need a different style of arial to cope with the extra power.
  3. Thanks to all - We lost a load of channels this weekend (in S10) mainly those that are broadcast on a weaker power (why I don't know) like Dave and Film 4, I was about to buy a new signal amplifier assuming ours ahd broke but having read all these posts I'll wait a few days and re-tune again.
  4. If you've seen the joining lanes on stockbridge bypass you'd realise there isn't any choice. Let's be realistic though a roundabout would cost about £500,000, a new set of lights about £50,000 and a new set of speed limit signs about £5,000. what do you think the council will do?
  5. It’s a bit radical but safe. They could ban right turns coming out of both the side junctions and because there are two lanes when you turn left out of those junctions then one of the lanes could be used as a joining lane (similar arrangement used on Stockbridge bypass). It's just a shame if you are used to turning right across the traffic because you would have to change your route.
  6. One of the biggest problems I see on that stretch of road is people pulling out of the side junctions who don’t have the patience or understanding to realise they are pulling out into a national speed limit road (60mph for cars). Maybe it should be reduced to 50?
