  1. Are they still running these? Any info appreciated. Cheers!
  2. Hello. Did this ever get off the ground? Also does anyone know whether there is anywhere in sheffield or Barnsley running classes where I might receive instruction? Cheers.
  3. hello, is this still running? does anyone have any contact details so i can ask a few questions? tried the hotmail email address found via google for the club but not had anything back so maybe its no longer used? or maybe its no longer running....... does anyone know? cheers !
  4. hello, could you post some details about the Jubilee club, training times, price, beginners classes etc? thanks a lot, cheers
  5. ive bought 2 of these now, 1 for myself, 1 for a mate. no screws required just hooks over the back of the door frame then youre ready to go, goes up and down in seconds. can mark the door frame dunno if that matters to you and you must have clearance on either side of the door frame for the bars to rest on. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DOOR-GYM-EXERCISE-FITNESS-PULL-UP-CHIN-UP-PUSH-UP-BAR-/120673690522?pt=UK_Strength_Training&hash=item1c18b6639a Failing this, inverted rows under a table or between 2 chairs are really effective if your desperate to practice pull ups in the mean time ! enjoy
  6. tell him Ollie sent you and he will make you do extra work for sure ! ha ha ha
  7. get yerself down to Knox boxing gym on Sydney street behind decathlon in town centre, every night of the week from 5pm to 7pm. Its lots of exercise and bag work for all levels, absolutely no pressure to get in the ring but you can if you like. Friendly bunch of people, run by Steve, top bloke, will make ya feel welcome. Great training and best thing ya can do in my opinion to keep fit, its awesome. Tuesday nights he does a ton of exercise followed by a circuit on the bags (very much like boxercise) followed by more exercise and then if ya can manage it, ya can walk home ! £3 for 2 hours punishment. Brilliant. Give him a ring, number on here somewhere if ya search or just turn up and have a go or watch a session. Its a real mix of people, ya wont feel uncomfortable. All the best.
  8. if you want to consider leaving them at home and allowing someone in to feed them then try Sharon at http://www.impawtantfriends.co.uk rather than a cattery she is absolutely superb and the cats get to stay at home ! It always works for me, i cant recommend her enough.
  9. this is the bible of pet rat care http://www.petrat.info/ don't expect too much too soon either, if you only had him since saturday and he has come from pets at home then he will be terrified. Imagine living at pets at home?! I would be bloody terrified ! The more time you spend interacting with him now the better but you must also allow him to get used to his new surroundings and smells, noises etc. I can only second what has already been said about getting him a companion. Rats should not live alone. Although the pet rat has obviously been domesticated, the wild rat lives in huge colonies so this characteristic has definitely been passed on to the domestic rat. they definitely need company, im not sure why anywhere even contemplates selling them individually to be honest. have a read of the above link, it really is superb, you wont go far wrong if you have a read.
  10. Hi jonhanson did you get anywhere finding cheap good sleepers, i am after some myself?? cheers

  12. Capita has today made an about turn similar to that of the Royal Mail. Managers briefed their teams today stating that the time would not be required to be made back up to the company and that the company would make peoples time up where necessary. It also sent a lengthy email from the board of directors thanking everyone for their efforts and pledging to help the local community by doing whatever it could. I think this is fantastic personally and its nice to think that someone somehwere has made a decision made on common sense rather than pounds sterling. This thread has clearly raised quite a few different feelings from different sides of the argument but I am pleased to say that Capita has made what I think is the right decision for this extreme situation. Hopefully other companies will follow suit after Royal Mails bad press and the ill feeling amongst the majority of staff. Whether they made it into work or not the majority feeling was that the company had got it wrong. Now they have put things right. Doesnt happen very often so credit where credit is due. Thanks! Nice one, now I will stop whining.............. for now........... cheers
  13. I'm not sur eyou can judge my sense of responsibility by me simply asking what people think about the situation but thanks for your opinion. For what its worth I'm glad youve chipped in to be honest because its good to get a view from both sides of the argument which is why I posted it in the first place, thinking maybe i was moaning over nothing. I dont think its too much to ask for a multi million pound company to show a bit more "understanding" when an ecological disaster beyond anyones control affects its employees. i agree that those that made it into work and covered for us whilst we were attempting to get there should be rewarded by the company, but I dont think we should be penalised. If the company is so grateful to the people that managed to get in then maybe it should show them instead of trying to recoup lost revenue that coould not have been prevented. I realise its a money making business but maybe now and again it would be nice if a HUGE company could treat its staff as human beings rather than pound signs sat on seats. I think people that have been pumping their houses out and have lost everything (of which i am not one) dont need to come back to work to be told they owe the company 3 days leave?! i think that is fairly ridiculous to be honest. Thanks for everyones thoughts though. i think its all been said now and is verging on going down the " i hate capita" route, which is not the intention. cheers everyone i will continue to sulk in peace and maybe I will see the light and get myself some "sense of responsibility" as suggested. Im struggling to see how I might feel responsible but you never know..... cheers
  14. its good old Capita ! they let us leave at 3.25pm on the monday, providing you agreed to make the time up as core hours are until 4pm?! So for the quarter of an hour obviously people left. But now that people havent been able to attend work they are demanding it is made back up, either as leave or made up as flexi time?! Incredible, jsut incredible. I realise its not the company's fault, but nor is it the individuals. It was a natural disaster? Some people will come back to work after days of pumping out water from their houses to be told they can take it off as annual leave? Surely not? cmon, this cant be legal?? Any solicitors out there or CAB people? cheers
  15. Hello, does anyone know whether legally a copany can make you make your time up for time lost to the floods? Obviously many of us were unable to make it into work yesterday and were advised not to travel everywhere you looked. Some people are still off. This morning the company has announced that we must make up our time? Incredible and unreasonable were my words amongst other unrepeatable ones, but legally is it acceptable? Any advice or opinions gratefully received?
