  1. i believe that my grandfather Thomas Ryan was a club singer in the 60's his stage name was Daniel O'Ryan if anyone recalls him or has any stories about him please get in touch thank Martin Ryan
  2. my father is Kevin Ryan! is was a leading radio operator number 123125W he joined the Navy on the 6th of June 1971 I think his nickname was skippy because he'd been living down under?? I'll ask him if he knows any of you!!..

  4. cheers for that.. my grandfather was Harold Bunting but he died in 1932 i knew that Elsie remarried to a Glazebrook but didnt know his first name so once again Thanks Also found out today that the pub off Anns Road in Heeley is The Shakespeare Inn
  5. in the early nineties mr softy used to come round Intake, I loved it because he played the A-Team theme tune... specials were the best, ice-cream with an ice lolly in the top
  6. can anyone help??? I've been told that my grandparents ran the Roebuck Tavern in the early fifties She was Elsie Glazebrook (Nee Lee)or might still have been Bunting.. I'm also told that her parents ran a pub in Heeley not sure when or what it was called it's opposite a school possible off Anns road????? They were called George F Lee & Hannah Lee. if any one can help it would be great Cheers all Martin

Yates(poss Florence) and my great grandfather is Cotton poss harold?? they had several kids one of which is my grandmother Connie Cotton she is a twin with Nellie born 1926 she passed away 3 years ago cant find any marriage records for Yates & Cotton... Connie married Thomas Ryan C. 1954 awaiting marriage cert for Beatrice Hodgkinson and Thomas Ryan Snr will post more when know more.... any searching same tree???? Believe Thomas snr was from Ireland and that he was a member of Mooney Gang

  10. I'm currently busy with my family tree and my great grandmother was Elsie Lee. on her Marriage cert the witnesses were Fred and Edna Crossland.. I've since learnt that Edna was Elsie's sister i found Fred's Grave in Moorgate Cemetery Rotherham He died 09-03-1952 aged 68 not sure if he's related to you but if so would like to know of any kids they had... We used to live at No 11 the Crossways, i remember when we moved out in 1987 cos they were pulling them down troggy was in and out of the house while we were moving nicking copper pipes and lead... the Git put a dent in the fridge with his wheelbarrow... He's still hanging about now he goes drinking in the Ball Inn on mansfield Road, Intake
