  1. Actually I've just fitted a new car stereo, and the porblems must have started around the same time, so maybe it's related?
  2. Thanks Skatiechik What's an earthing point ?
  3. Got this annoying electrical problem with my car. I turn the engine on, and the lights come on (without me touching the light switch). If I have the lights on, and then turn the ignition off, and remove the keys. The engine is still running without the keys in the ignition, and I can even drive the car etc. Soon as I turn the lights off, the engine will cut out. I figure it must be a crossed / fused / touching wire somewhere. Is this something I can fix myself or do I need an expert? Any recommendations? Thanks, Jamie.
  4. No problemo mr Lord Chavvy sir !! I was most impressed by all your (and timo's and DanSumption's and Phan's) philosophical insights in recent threads. Yes, the world is full of so many talented and wonderful people, not to mention talented and beautiful lady folk *ahhhh*. In truth, I feel I am but a country bumpkin lost in the big city of really intelligent people. My mind a blank, all the words have run away, and all that remains is this smile. *smiles*
  5. I'd like to meet: StarSparkle. Draggletail. pussycat (only cos she's gorgeous). JBee (curious as to who this mysterious local salsera is). t020 (an interesting case). slimsid2000 (another interesting case). ... and a whole bunch of intellectual intelligent seeming types: DanSumption. timo. LordChavvy. max (already met him infact). Phan (and him). I like intelligence people.
  6. But then if you were wrong, you wouldn't realise it ... ooops! My opinion would be that 'spiritual development' is an entirely personal matter, and has nothing to do with organised religion. I believe there are more serious traditions, systems of (spiritual) development around the world; that deserve more respect than mainstream organised religions. These are very scientific in their approach to the development (spiritually and otherwise) of a human being. That's great, spiritual development and scientific method should go hand in hand. The 'believe it, because we say it's true' catagory of religion is, I agree, tosh. The most essential thing is to find out for yourself, after all, what is spiritual development if it's not discovery of the self ... or self-honesty? Someone I have the deepest of respect for, once said "make sure you are not shackled, by the very thing that is supposed to set you free".
  7. Worse still, what happens if the florist deliver the flowers to the wrong girl!?, you could end up looking like a right nicompoop!! Some seriously gorgeous ladies in John Lewis though, do you work there Strix?
  8. Yeah, that's true. Don't want to try too hard. Send the flowers (or flower) first then!! ... as redrobbo suggests. You could sign it 'an admirer' and then turn up later with the note. It doesn't have to be a desperation thing, and it shouldn't come across as such. I don't know, women eh! they always wanna take the fun out of romance!
  9. Would that be from the note, or the flowers too? (and will someone just tell me if the flowers are a daft idea, and I'll shut up about them already, personally I think they'd be fine though).
  10. I still like the note idea. Maybe it would be a good idea to follow the note up with flowers. Arrange to have some delivered to her later the same day. What do you think? Would that be going too far?
  11. I really like JBee's suggestion! It has an air of mystery and also doens't put the lady 'on the spot' demanding her to say yes or no, there and then. She can have time to think and dwell ...
  12. This could mean 2 things: 1) The developers of this game did not code any functionality to save game. 2) It's not an original game cart. When games developers send off their product, through the correct channels (Nintendo) for duplication, they have to pay extra to have special carts that will save games. There are about 4 different types and also different capacities of save game carts, costs vary but having no save game functionality will bring down cost of duplication. Obviously, the pirates are not going through official channels to produce their carts, but it would still cost them more to produce carts that save.
  13. My own funeral arrangements, I would be most happy with the cheapest possible (chopped up in to small bits, bagged, and taken to the tip). Funerals are an expensive business, and I'd rather spend the money while I'm alive on something I'd get infinate more joy out of.
  14. What female body type do men prefer? What a silly question! Obviously it's the 'damn sexy' body type!!!
  15. OMG the daft sh*ts !!! ... mugging a pizza guy at your OWN HOME !!! How retarded are some people ?
  16. robbie: It sounds to me like your interests have changed, or are changing, and perhaps you don't share the same interests as the people you currently assosiate with? Instead of bringing your old friends along to do new activities that you enjoy, why not just go and do the new activity, whatever you want, and make new friends there?
  17. Was that the Desiderata, Joe? Whatever it was, I'd say it has a very different theme or nature to the poem Deavon posted. One is about action, going out and making it happen. The other about stillness, appreciating what you have (even if that's just your experience of the sunshine). It all makes me wonder, what the best way to live life is ... Through action (go out and get it), or through stillness (let it come to me) ...
  18. I think the 'just pull yourself together' thing is more about denial and pretending you don't have a problem, than it is about moving through the illness and getting better. The stigma thing though, what's that all about? Maybe ill people don't want others to know they have an illness, for fear of being shunned or rejected. Sorry to hear you're on tablets though tulip, have you considered exercise or meditation, do you think they may help you with your anxiety?
  19. pussycat is one seriously charming, intelligent and lovely young lady (unfortunately she's attached and good at running!!). I'd be calling her bluff on this offer if I were you slimsid2000 ... Well, I am really annoyed with you all, because no-one wants to meet me. Have you any idea how terribly upset and devestated I am feeling right now !? *sobs*
  20. Why don't women just be honest about it ... aka ... look you just don't so it for me, sorry, but you don't ... rather than ... you're a really sweet guy and you'll make a brill BF for some lucky lady bla bla bla. Why don't women just be straight up about it ... Ladies ?
  21. Yeah, all the time ... 'you're really nice / lovely you are' = 'you're ok as a friend / doormat, but you're never gonna get sex, ever'. On the other hand ... 'you're such a b*****d' = 'you can hop in to my bed any time baby'.
