  1. This is why Oughtibridge is like it is - boring!! Why not join in or organise something yourself if you don't like whats on offer. Yes, I've lived here all my life and it has got worse every year in terms of things to do I am glad an effort is being made and hope there will be more events/activities in the future.

  4. It's NOT unreasonable for the builder to ask for payment for materials up front. Why do you think he should trust or sub you? I pressume you want to pay at the end of the job - so while he's paying all your debts (on his accounts) what do you expect him to live on? Or as suggested before why not pay for your own materials direct to the suppliers?
  5. Totally agree with RETIRED - Why should builders have to trust customers - it's about time programmes were made about dodgy customers !!!!!
