  1. Grenhilheg club do a badminton for beginners session and I know some primary aged people go already. That’s in Dronfield too https://www.grenhilhegbadminton.com/?lightbox=dataItem-jvl0p64c
  2. I would recommend the pleasant walk to the nicer pub (Naggs Head I think). We went to both but all preferred this one. The food was better too!
  3. http://flic.kr/y/kPa5F7 Here are some nice Sheffield pics in a Flickr gallery
  4. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fridaywizard/5411194684/ this was awesome, don't recall seeing anything like it before! My camera was next to my window so had to take a few very quick pics before leaving for work.
  5. I would definitely go with a digital. I bought a DSLR about a year ago and have loved every minute of it, and if you're using film you can't take hundreds of photos before you get an idea of what makes a good pic (would be expensive anyway). If you don't fancy a DSLR then you can get compact cameras with with removable lenses. A friend has recently got the Sony NEX5AS and it looks good. I have a sony a380 and would recommend it to anyone, excellent starter camera. One of my other friends has a Canon 350D and its also a perfectly good starter camera, picture quality excellent.
  6. FYI - went to PPIK in Leeds and was excellent, definintely recommend to anyone looking for a good track - and I won :-). 40 min driving was £45 plus you have to become a member for a further 3. Since been to another outdoor one in Teeside and it's even better. Bigger track, faster twin engined karts, lots of fun! We went in a big party and it was £40 each for an hour driving time (quali & race). I think normally its closer to £50 but for the size of our group. Google Teeside Karting, if you can make the journey you'll not regret it!
  7. Hello golfers Can anyone recommend a decent golf course around Manchester? We're looking for something at a reasonable price (no more than £40) so not expecting the very best course over there, but would appreciate some suggestions from anyone who's played in that neck of the woods. Cheers Nick
  8. thanks loopy i've had a look at that ppik and it does look like a good bet - especially as it will be autumn/winter by the time i go
  9. apparently theres one in attercliffe that is decent - anyone been?
  10. thanks i was considering AVAGO but that doesnt sound too promising
  11. Hello Can anyone recommend the best go karting tracks in or around sheffield? I went to parkwood about a year ago and really enjoyed it but fancy giving somewhere else a try before i go back. It's for about 10-12 people and the longer & faster the better! Cheers Nick
