  1. 3. Sit Down - James or Stay - Shakespear's Sister
  2. Didn't see any at Morrisons. Thanks for the replies, I'll have another look and try the other suggestions if I don't have any luck.
  3. Anyone know where I can buy semolina? I don't mean the pudding, but the grain. Saw something on tele about using it to make roasties; dying to try it, but I've drawn a blank so far.
  4. Sounds like it, but I checked our postcode on the site... says 2012. Looks like I'm stuck with the pathetic 0.4 for a good while longer I've resorted to a 3 dongle for now, speed is around 4.5 to 5, trouble is, max is 15GB download which isn't enough to play Evony, let alone use things like uTorrent. Wish I'd stayed in Hillsborough LOL
  5. Well, the 'lid' won't blow away if you tie it to one of the handles as the leaflet suggests, but we're in a simlar situation. There's only 6 houses on my street, the 3 nearest to the main road get emptied, the other 3 get ignored. Apparently, the peeps who empty the black bins can drive along our street, but, for some reason, the drivers for the blue bins can't, and they are too idel to walk along to get the bins that we all, as we're supposed to, leave at the end of our drives. Come on Veola, if you want us to be serious about recycling, you need to take it seriously too!
  6. All I know is my blue bin & box haven't been emptied. Again. My neighbours are fed up enough that they put everything in the black bin now, and I'm thinking of following suit. What's the point using the bins/boxes properly if Veola, or whoever, can't be bothered to empty them?
  7. I come from the Pie Village (Denby Dale) originally, spent most of my youth in Holmfirth. Needed to escape the damn tourists who seemed to always be in my garden, and the film crews who kept trying to close the road when I was trying to get home from work GRRRR I was used to rural areas, so when I first moved here (Hammerton Rd), I thought it looked like Coronation Street, but it didn't take long to adjust. Folks here seem to be much more friendly than where I was raised, and I would never go back. That said, if someone can get me a green card, I'm legging it to upstate NY and never looking back
  8. OMG! Bobby Boot will bring it back to life! Kill it, more like. Never come across a DJ who cuts out tracks part way through, leaves you listening to silence, and completely ignores requests before. Back to the thread though... Since Dean & Joanne took over, The Rivelin is a good pub with old-fashioned values. It isn't the busiest in the world, but the regulars are a friendly bunch who make strangers feel welcome, the food is home-cooked and top notch and the views from the garden are (when the weather allows us to sit out) stunning. It makes such a good impression that the regulars are not all local either, some are from the other side of the city, but consider the atmosphere to be worth paying for a cab. I only hope that people don't just read the start of this thread and alienate the place because of previous tenants befor reading the latter page or two.
