  13. hi, yes car exists. Goes past my house at Woodseats most nights about 9.30-10pm. I am armed with camera to get it. As the ex-owner of a bright yellow Renault 5 GT turbo, I feel qualified to state that this Rover is a complete shed. Also reading all your comments have made my dinnertime!
  14. mine was hand delivered last week, In the star last night they promised everyone would have them through the post by today. If still no joy by tonight I would ring them up or better still go down there and stay there until you get one!!

  18. hi, after reading all these it brought it all back! My favourites: 1. Fisher Price play family village - with working traffic light, postman, cinema and jail! 2.Perfection: scared the life out of me when it jumped up just as you were putting the last shape in but addictive! 3. Brittains Farm - kept me quiet for hours so I've been told. Got upset when I was told to move it off my bedroom floor as it had been there a week. It took me a week to put it all there......... 4. Spectrum (if this counts as a toy) especially Horace goes Skiiing, Manic Miner and Death Chase. 5. Sindy, all my dolls ended up with little or no hair and pins pushed through their ears for earrings. I'm not sure what it says about me, a mixed bag I think!

Getting to boring stuff now so will stop!
  20. driving off down the M1 with my cat under the bonnet. See tonight's Calendar for full story!
  21. traffic still bad, still diversion onto Abbey Lane, can't go up Meadowhead yet.
  22. Did anyone go to the meeting about this on Wed night and can tell us what was said? Did they agree to scrap it?
  23. The tram is needed and wanted in the South and would work if built in the right location. The market is there it just needs to get to the South areas without causing too much disruption. I have a suggestion.. Why not just extend the tram line from Herdings along the ring road Norton Ave/Bochum Parkway to Meadowhead? It could go down the middle of the carriageway all the way down to Meadowhead and not cost that much compared to other options. This would tie in nicely re creating a new terminus and parking as there is a ready made park and ride site now at Meadowhead roundabout on some of the Meadowhead North building site. The site is Council owned and up for sale at present, perfect! It would also free up the terrible traffic problems going down Meadowhead into Woodseats and get great custom from all those fed up motorists sick of being stuck in traffic coming in from Dronfield, Coal Aston, Bradway etc etc. Anyone else agree?
