Hi, it’s true Wilson Peck did have premises at the back of the Moor, on a corner near Atkinson’s department store. It was suggested to me that in the early 80’s the original owners of Wilson Peck’s closed down the Leopald St shop (a very sad day indeed) but some while later someone else reopened the shop using the same name but the different address. The new shop sold pianos mainly but did have other instruments available. The business continued for quite a few years but again eventually closed down. The building is currently being used as a specialist light fittings store. I think it’s really unfortunate that so, so many music shops have not managed to survive.
