  1. Hi guys. I'm trying to trace my half cousin. Her name is Jane Thorpe and she lived a few doors away from me on Ripon Street up until the late 70's. Her parents were Brian and Dorothy and she was an only child. Her parents were divorced so she lived with her Mum. She went to Woodbourn Road School and when our houses were demolished she moved to Sky Edge with her Mother who went on to re marry and have a Son called Phillip who I have tried to contact but no luck, his Surname is Thackery. Jane I believe possibly moved to Manchester and did have Children. Can you help? We lost touch after she moved I'm sorry to say. I have to find her. Please help if you can
  2. Thanks I will Thats not her, it says she is from manchester and not sheffield.

  6. Does anyone else suffer or have suffered with this? I've never experienced pain like it! Living on soup and yogurts is the only thing I can eat. What helps you to relieve the pain? How long does it last? Any help would be appreciated, thanks
  7. Hi Urgent! My Daughter has to move within the next few days and reluctantly rehome her cat and he can't go with her. Is there anywhere in sheffield that can take a cat straight away please? She's been told there is a waiting list to put him up for adoption. Or can anyone in Sheffield rehome him please? He is a house cat, fully vaccinated and wormed, quiet temperament, loves cuddles, 8 years old Please help!
  8. I'm trying to trace a Jane Thorpe, my cousin. She lived on Ripon Street with her Mother in the 60's/70's. Her parents Dorothy and Brian divorced when she was small. She went to Woodbourn Road School. Jane was an only child till her Mother re married a man called Phillip then had a Son also Phillip her half Brother. Dorothy moved to Sky Edge when the houses were pulled down, Kestrel Green. I believe Jane has Children and possibly moved to Manchester, not sure if she married. I tried contacting her half Brother via FB without success. If anyone can help or knows Jane I'd be grateful. Thanks
  9. If my memory serves me right, her Grandmother lived in the same yard as my Grandparents, Ripon Street, Attercliffe. That was the 60's/70's
  10. I'd expect a 3 seater to be more than 3 inches bigger than a 2
  11. We've emailed them but no reply as of yet. Going to store tomorrow
  12. Has anyone bought a suite from DFS? Any problems with it? If so can you return it? We've just had ours delivered today and are very disappointed with the 3 seater. It's only 3 inches bigger than the 2 seater and is not made to seat 3 people! It is causing problems already. I've got a slipped disc and it has given me backache after only a few hours sitting on it.
  13. Great thanks I'll get one, anything is worth a try 👍
  14. She thinks we're getting at her cos of her hut which with one push will fall down but she blames us cos we feed the birds. I'll get enviromental health out
  15. We are pulling our hair out here. Our neighbour has a delapidated shed at the bottom of her garden and rats are breeding in it. We told her over 6 months ago about it to which she didn't appreciate it but called out pest control. She never got them back to see if the treatment worked, however they are still a problem. It's costing us a fortune in bait and the traps we set they just seem to take the bait and somehow manage to not spring the trap! Should we pay for pest control when they are coming from her garden? Help!
  16. Putting a dado rail on With a window at the top of the stairs it's proving difficult to get the bottom paper at the same height all the way round

  19. I'm trying to trace my half Cousin, I believe her Mother Dorothy, half Brother and Stepdad both called Philip Thackeray moved from Skyedge to Rotherham, either Fenton Way or Road. Her Mother Dorothy has passed away but hopefully someone knows her Brother or stepdad and can put me in touch with them. 🤞
  20. I've used a mixture of salt and white vinegar and hey presto it's going! Tiny shoots that are coming up I dig out before they get established. It's an ongoing process but I'll crack it! And my neighbours bindweed which is the culprit is dead too! I sprayed it with her permission I might add.
  21. Hi. Can anyone recommend a nail technician in the S35 area who does silk wraps please?
  22. Seeing as my neighbour doesn't care about her garden I'll use boiling water as it wont matter what it catches. Thanks
  23. We have Bindweed in our garden creeping through from our neighbours garden. How can we eradicate it ? She is not interested in in hers at all. I keep digging out what I can and still it comes back. I don't want to use weedkiller as we have dome delicate plants in ours. Help!
