  1. What would at first seems like a straightforward answer I can't seem to find the best bus to catch to get me from Crystal Peaks to Dronfield. Oddly enough there is a direct bus that only appears to run on Sundays, do I need to go via or Eckington on a weekday? Thanks in advance
  2. Seems like there are some great people on here, hopefully someone can give me some advice. I have a Main HE boiler that on two occasions has stopped with a Water Circulation Fault. This has only occurred when the heating has been on for a couple of hours and then I turn the hot water on. It doesn't do this every time but I'm worried it is the beginning of a long term fault. Could it be something serious?
  3. Steve recently serviced a fire and boiler for me. He gave me some great advice and fixed a few bits at a reasonable price. Thanks
  4. This has nothing to do with metric or Euro.
  5. Just tried it on my FC8 box and restarting the daemon did not remove all the jobs.
  6. cancel -a cancels all jobs. Restarting the daemon does not clear jobs, just for future reference
  7. Dear technical guru's! I work for an IT company and we have approximately 450 remote servers which we "manage" by waiting for customer phone calls informing us of a problem etc. Every customers is responsible for checking their own backups which to be honest I think is crap. I think it would be much more prudent to be more proactive and get email notifications of backups sent to us so we can call the customer before they realise there is a problem. However, thinking about this I'm not sure about the best way to implement this idea. The servers are a mixture of Windows and Linux, some BackupExec, Acronis, shell scripts etc. Sending the email is not a problem, its organising the emails we do receive. For example the worst case scenario is somebody checking every single email, looking at all the verification and backup failures logging into each server diagnosing the cause etc. Then trying to work out which servers have not emailed because internet is down, /var full, UPS has shut the server down and our own internet problems etc etc. The vision I have is possibly a web front end with a list of servers and columns saying email received, backup status etc. How do some others deal with a similar problem? Quite interested to hear any ideas. Thanks in advance
  8. Yes you can, but he said he worked on it "somewhere else" so I was assuming this somewhere else was not accessible right now. Otherwise he would have just opened with Office 2007 again.
  9. By default office 2007 saves files using a new format. Install this from Microsoft and all will be well: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en
  10. Just out of interest how did you go about doing this? Did you wrap it in an msi and push it out via group policy? I'm going to be doing something similar soon just wondered how you got on with it? Regards
  11. FileZilla, clearly the best one out there (IMO)
  12. Sounds like a very strange problem. I know Orange had a weird MTU size problem (http://www.orangeproblems.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3869), I spent ages trying to sort it. Maybe worth flashing your netgear to the latest firmware. Maybe Tiscali are having a strange problem. Good Luck
