  1. I've just had word that the Mancs have marched East, and now control the Howden, Derwent, and Ladybower reservoirs. The Leeds army have headed south and have taken Drax, Ferrybridge, and Eggborough power stations. The Brummies are on ther way from the south, but can't find the right turn off on spaghetti junction. Sheffield should know it's place. Leeds, Mcr, and Brum have a hell of a lot more going on than here.
  2. Interesting article. But has everyone forgot that the gap between rich and poor kept on growing in the last Labour government? The only people who benefitted from the last Labour government, were those on benefits, public sector workers, and the ultra rich. In 1997 the government had a £20 billion budget surplus, by 2010 that was a £150 billion deficit. Look at the state of the economy, and national debt in 1979, 1997, and 2010 to see what Labours done for the average person.
  3. We should unite and take it over. The trouble is that the armies of Leeds and Manchester are so much better equipped than the Sheffield army. Manchester was so good at this that it marched forward, stealing huge swathes of land from Cheshire, Lancashire, and Derbyshire back in 1974, and declared itself a county of 3 million. Leeds is now over 750,000 strong, with an urban area approaching 2 million. We should push forward, but ultimately will submit to the far superior forces of Leeds and Manchester.
  4. All government money comes from the same source. Cut the aid budget, give it to the police budget. Simplezzzz
  5. All we need is for existing laws to be applied universally, regardless of background, ethnicity, sexual orientation etc. How's about cutting the "ring fenced" overseas aid budget to pay for the extra staff SYP need to do this effectively? After seeing last night's documentary, it's obvious that they do take child protection seriously. And that it takes a huge amount of resources to do it. However, there are still far too many unanswered questions relating to recent events, and SYP are being far too quiet about it.
  6. You're right. Once you have a couple of kids in a school with a terminally ill granddad, it has a knock on effect. The other kids will no doubt become jealous, and wish it were their granddad who was spending so much time in hospital. So they could wear the same badge in class, and have the same in depth knowledge about things like oncology. And once those girls have experienced freedom of expression, it will be the beginning of the end. Next thing you know they'll be selling drugs in the playground, and mugging old ladies. Where did it all go wrong?
  7. I can see exactly how the UK's schools have slipped to 22nd globally. They're pursuing ridiculous things like grandchildren wearing a symbol of support of their terminally ill grandfather. At a time when they need to know their school is behind them 100%, at what must be the worst time in their young lives. They seem to be far more concerned about how children look, rather than getting them ready for the real world. Perhaps a lot to do with why many employers no longer consider GCSE maths and English at grade C to be a benchmark for competency in either.
  8. Contact bio uk fuels, (Sanderson Street.) Not only will they collect it, they will pay you for it too.
  9. That is completely irrelevant. If a manipulative adult wants to take advantage of a child they will do so. Lets face it, no-one really develops the skill to stand up for themselves properly until late teens and the paedophiles know this. And they will do so without regard of how good or bad the child's parents are. The parents are just as likely to be millionaires living in Dore or Totley, or alcoholics living in abject poverty, and everything else in between. The only difference is that paedophiles don't congregate in the posher areas. They go to the places where they don't look so out of place, and where antisocial behaviour is the norm. And they will do it even more if they know the police and local authorities ignore their actions. This is why it's much less likely to kids who live in better areas. AND FOR NO OTHER REASON.
  10. I don't know what all the fuss is about ebola. My tablet has McAfee antivirus. So I reckon Im covered, so long as I have my tablet on me at all times and leave the wifi switched on.
  11. The amount of stick SYP are getting is 100% justified when you look at how long Hillsborough was covered up, and how long Rotherham CSE was going on. TOO MANY DESTROYED LIVES!!!!!!!!!! END OF!!!!! And I don't know how anyone could call them efficient, unless of course it's handing out speeding tickets for 56 MPH on the Parkway. If you get burgled the paperwork from the police arrives 3 weeks after the paperwork from the insurance company. Yet if you are ever asked to hand in documents at a police station, you've got 7 days to do it. OR ELSE!!! If SYP intend to restore public faith in them, then why are they so slow when it comes to crimes against the individual, and uber quick when it comes to crimes against the state????? And where are the arrests relating to the Rotherham scandal????? Start nicking some paedophile rapists, stop nicking the victims when they confront their (alleged) abuser, and perhaps the public will start respecting them!!!!!
  12. I agree, and yes there are many things that need huge amounts of council money in order to function properly, and obviously there's a lot of things that only the council can provide. But the trouble with councils making investments into property etc, with a view to making profit, is that they're not very good at it. It's always someone else's money they're using, so they're less careful with it than a developer is. And it's easier to end up with things either being built in the wrong place, or costing too much, or under delivering, or all three. (Moor Market.) This development is a superb idea, and a smaller stadium should work. But surely after the DVS fiasco, (which is still being paid off now), we need to pull the stops out to make it a commercial success, so that this one isn't being pulled down 25 years from now. The council should stick to greasing the wheels, not palms.
  13. Technically any vehicle taxed before 01/10/14 still has to display a valid tax disc up to the expiry date. I had to do mine last month, and was told this by the DVLA themselves. However they also told me that it's unlikely to cause any problems if I didn't display it, as it won't ping any ANPR cameras.
