  1. i have a brother and sister that lived in the house , i will get intouch with them and see what they can remember , they still live in sheffield ,my sister lives off scarsdale rd and my brother lives in worksop which is not far. if you would give me your email i will pass it onto my brother if that is ok with you . i don't know anything about bishop house but may be they can .
  2. i wonder if mr hollingworth would have none my father mr harry hallas he worked in graves park as dept head grounds man ,and lived in bole hill farm and graves park lodge . he unfortunately died in 1978 ,but my sister and friends spent many happy hours in the park in our child hood
  3. i worked at bescobys printing firm as apprentice book binder in 1964 till 1966 then went to do my nurse training .
  4. i would like to say that my father and mother lived in bishops house untill 1947 when they then moved to bolehill farm on cobnar rd ,my father was a park keeper but spent most of the time in burma in the 2nd world war ,but both my brother and sister lived in bishop house, i was not born till 1948 so am not able to give you much information ,unfortunately i will not be able to make the weekend i live in lincolnshire now and have a poorly husband . i hope all goes well with the communitl heritage weekend .
  5. hi hillsbro, many many thanks for that information ,i did manage to get intouch with my cousin that i have not seen for over 30 year , that took me months to track him down and what you have given me in such a short space of time would have taken me months if not years but it seems to fit in with the little that my cousin know's about the family , as you may have gathered i am new at this . could you tell me what is the kelly's directory and can i get onto it and what information can you get from it ? again many thanks bobilly
  6. my grandparents lived in crooks st thomas rd sheffield , grandad was a tailor and grandmar was a dress maker they had four children two boys and two girls ,unfortunately they have all died , i would love to hear from any one that might be able to shed a light on this family especialy if my grand parents had brothers or sisters ,grandmars maiden name was buckley . first name edith and grandad was thomas the four children were reginald john beatrice and mary .

Hi Janet yes Barrie remembers Clive Shepherd but has not got any idea as to what happend to Henry and Esme or Cyril and Joyce . we don't get back to that neck of the woods very often ,it has all changed now . with all the one way systems and new builds . i think lewis is still around ,i can remember Barrie saying last time he went to Oughtibridge he called in to see Sylvia still in the paper shop but that was a long while ago .

  10. i married barrie guy from oughtibridge in 1969 lived in deepcar till 1973 we both left and went to grimsby . barrie can remember stan lewis and john , john was barrie's best man at our wedding and we had our reception at the travellers , he can remember a janet she had a little mini car which she gave us a lift home after being at a party with trever and another girl called ann , that is if this is the same girl i think they called her moor but not sure .
