Vibration from plumbing/boiler,C-H pipework

Recommended Posts

Hi I recently turned my water supply off at the mains and ever since i've been getting a vibration from plumbing/boiler,C-H pipework when the C-H is off,i don't think it's anything to do with the C-H because it doesn't vibrate when the C-H is on but when i turn the hot tap on the vibrating stops. Anyone have any idea what it could be and how to sort it,thanks.

I've had this, I stopped it by turning the supply tap to restrict the flow of water. Try turning it till the sound stops, don't turn it too much or you won't have much pressure in the cold tap.

I had exactly the same. A tap seal was leaking, I changed it and the vibrations stopped. Does the tap drip?

Hi thanks for the replys, blackydog it was the dripping tap,i've isolated the tap via the isolator valve and just waiting on a new ceramic cartridge.
