Stagecoach Student fare reduced again to £1

Due to no movement in First increasing their prices to £1.20, Stagecoach look to have reduced the single student fare back to £1 from Monday, only the 2nd time that this has been done.

Lost too much custom to First I assume? Whilst they are at it, it would be nice to reduce the cost of the bus fares for us regular folks. £2.20 for a single from Stocksbridge to Deepcar is an absolute rip-off on the 57, a distance of 6 bus stops (less than a mile!).

Amazing how they can manage to reduce fares where First operate but not where they have a monopoly of an area!

Agreed. I'd assumed it was something to do with students coming this week and not wanting to lose custom for being more expensive. You'd have thought they'd have learnt from last year?
