  1. This may sound stupid, but ive bought a new laptop, we've already got a pc and laptop set up for wireless, (with Orange livebox phone calls etc) how do i set it up? ive been told i need a security code, thats supposed to have come with the livebox, i cant find it . The usual man that comes and helps us wont come, i think he thinks its beneath him, or he thinks we're more clever than we really are My hubbys not interested in pc's so i have to try and do these things myself, but i know nothing, im trying to learn but it gets harder as you get older The man that usually comes says its dead easy, it would be from a 30 something, but not for us, sorry to rant on.
  2. I phoned an electrician for a small job out of my local free paper (the leader) told him all about it, to me it sounded like a smallish job (but then again what do i know about electrics) he was supposed to be coming at 9.30, never turned up i phoned his mobile, turned off!! Its not as if he's not a genuine tradesman, so why bother saying he'll come then not come, wasting my bliddy time I will now go on to tell my friends and relatives not to bother with this person. Am i naive in asking why these people do this, and does it happen a lot?? I mean if he couldnt manage the job, he could have least have rang and told me, or am i being daft in thinking he would do this Oh well back to the drawing board (rant over)
  3. Couldnt agree more, what really disgusts me is mothers breastfeeding 9/10 yr olds, and in public, now come on! theres something really strange going on there
  4. Whatever the facts are, no new mother should be "pressurised" into doing anything, dont you think?
  5. Does anyone know of an electrician local to Killamarsh or Eckington please Thanks
  6. Does anyone know of a good reliable qualified Electrician local to Killamarsh available Thanks..
  7. Everytime i come off the internet and back onto the desktop im getting a small window telling me that Firefox has crashed, this happened a couple of times last week, now its nearly everytime i come off. Anyone have any ideas
  8. My hubbys laptop is showing the black screen that says "microsoft had to shut down" it gives him some options to start safe mode, etc, when he tries to start in safe mode it tries to but then goes back to the black screen, its just going round in circles. Is it beyond hope
  9. Couldnt agree more, and its not just in pubs that other folks have to put up with "mummys little darlings" screaming and generally being a nuisance, its all over now, i think, let them get away with this behaviour, but dont inflict it on other people
  10. Fraid not, cant tell you his name, if i put it on here he'd go crackers :hihi:
  11. We used to go in pubs years ago, wouldnt step in one now, the only good thing about pubs today is some serve decent food, and you dont have to eat in in a haze of some ignoramous's smoke, right we've finished our food so we'll have a fag Most pubs today are filled with the younger end, while i dont mind the younger end (well some) some are like animals when they're drinking, i dont want to be amongst that Thats probably why you dont see many middle aged people in pubs today (so im informed)
  12. My hubby used to hate doing it and sometimes forgot so did a lot of the other drivers, i think thats why they got some of the staff to record the messages, then picked the best ones out.
  13. Ive done it thanks a lot  it took a while to sink in, but id already done that,
  14. Thanks a lot, but, (theres always one) im so not computer literate :loopy:where's the download page? ive got to the page you get on when you click the annoying little icon on the bottom of the screen, but all thats asking me to do is install "i important update" there's something on there that says "view update history" sorry i am so thick where computers are concerned in this instance i wish i had xp, my hubbys still got it and he has no problems updating.
