  1. I just remembered why I didn't use this forum! clearly I'm just more selfish than the many single working parents who come your way!
  2. I understand its not meant to be a personal attack as you are clearly interested in the welfare of the cat and it being returned to its owners. Hopefully the RSPCA will endeavour to return the cat to its owners should it be microchipped. If not, they may have other means to link the kitten with its original owners. As for me, I'm a single mother working full-time commuting from Huddersfield and completing a PhD. I don't have time to go to those kind of lengths to reunite the kitten with its owners. Sorry!
  3. I didn't have time to take her to the vet to check if she was chipped. RSPCA picked her up this morning and understand the circumstances of how she came to be with me. I'm sure they'll assess her to see whether she was chipped and reunite her with her owner if that's the case. As an aside, I was not impressed with how much she seemed to be accustomed to and was begging for human food and as a precaution, wormed her last night. Having an older rescue cat who was fed human food as a kitten (not by me!), I can say that its a really bad idea given that his stomach is weak and he vomits regularly. Not good.
  4. On my way home from work today, a kitten (tortoiseshell) ran out in front of my car (Norwood Road/S5 area). I managed to brake and took it in the car. It was very hungry, its ribs were showing and it was frightened. It seemed about 12 weeks or less. It's at home with me now. No collar. White marks on chin. No identification. I don't want to keep the cat so will be taken it to CPL/RSPCA in next couple of days. If you are the owner, little one is safe and fed. PM me if yours.

  6. I have a 14 month old boy and two cats-when pregnant and just after my cats were a massive source of relaxation for me and I see my son having the cats around as a good opportunity to teach him about how to approach and handle animals. He has a good relationship with both cats now and the cats are very fond of him and seem to actively seek him out. Not all of us who are/have been pregnant abandon our animals. Laura
  7. Thankfully Nubi has been chipped since 12 weeks!
  8. 'Gus' looks alot like my cat Nubi, I hope he hasnt been making a second home anywhere!
  9. It was him-but they didnt hang onto him and havent seen him in a couple of weeks now he was spotted in the "Thompson Hill" area of S35 and we plan to put posters up there over the weekend-if anybody lives near or around there can you keep looking out for "Bam Bam" black body white chin, neck and tummy with black diamond in the middle of his tummy. He has a slice in his ear-read up on 4535 on RSPCA lost cat section. He is chipped and neutered. Many thanks Laura
  10. For those of you who remember that I lost my cat, Bam Bam in November last year. I didnt give up hope and continued trawling websites and leads. Finally someone has posted on the RSPCA website and its a virtual match! ringing RSPCA tomorrow and hoping that its my little man!
  11. I hope its not, but it may be Bam Bam-did you say he would be scanned as he does have a chip. How might I find out if the cat is mine? L
  12. Hello I lost my Black and White male cat "Bam Bam" on 9th November. He is neutered and chipped. He distinctively has a black "diamond" on his tummy amidst a white belly and has a nick to the top of one of his ears. Please could you check him for this or take a look at the picture on my thread to see whether the cat you have found resembles the one Ive lost? we'd be really grateful. Thanks BR
  13. Thanks for your replies-Krush that looks an awful lot like Bam Bam but isnt him sadly we are looking into a new lead that someone in Walkey has found a cat that sounds and looks like Bam Bam-RSPCA said they'd get back to us on Friday with the contact number for the person who has found him-as they didnt I suspect they were busy so will follow it up on Monday with them.
