  1. Good point! I guess the problem with having principles (e.g. "I'll discuss anything with anyone, even if I don't agree") is that if you don't stick to them, you look a little foolish.
  2. Great suggestion! Haven't heard that for a while - listening now. So good. On a slightlier funkier tip, there's Funkadelic's One Nation Under a Groove or their Maggot Brain. Oooh, any Gil Scott Heron fans? The man's a genius.
  3. Not sure if anyone else has recommended this, but Deadwood is amazing. About ten years old, it's a series about cowboy-types living in a town that hasn't yet become a part of America. God digging, swearing, honour, politics, gun firing and the actor who played Lovejoy as a powerful, Machiavellian saloon owner called Al Swearengen. Pretty intelligently done with great storylines and memorable characters.
  4. Yep, I love Vangelis too : ) There's a guy called Oneohtrix Point Never who has made an album called Age Of - it's a bit like a modern, chopped up and crazier Vangelis. Pretty decent if you like that kind of thing : )
  5. Been rediscovering Nina Simone and been on a (musical) trip to Japan! They have a lot of great music from rock to ambient and classical. And it's good to work to because the lyrcis don't distract - I don't know what they're saying : )
