  1. It's one of those concoction of spices where everyone does it slightly different. Some have sumac, some don't.
  2. I don't think anyone feels wound up - it's one of the most amusing threads for a while... gotta get myself one of those blue cars!
  3. I'm not sure your argument is valid, lalaland. You argue that cameras are ineffective as the perpetrator must be speeding in the first place to be punished... but surely the traffic cop solution won't be any different - the traffic cops will pull the driver over after, and only after, they were speeding... In addition, I'd like to echo the argument of Blade1983 - the cops can only police the roadworks one law-breaker at a time. I'd also add the increased danger to other roadusers (and workers) posed by the police car chasing the perpetrator through the roadworks to pull them over...
  4. Anyone stupid enough to miss the big signs displaying the speed limit and the big yellow cameras is clearly not a safe driver! Anyone who chose to ignore the signs has only themselves to blame.
  5. We moved onto Smalldale Road in November and it's been just super.
  6. I think you identified the problem in your original post - you were, apparently, googling for "england" when you should have been googling for "Centertainment"...
  7. Don't forget to budget for evil Stamp Duty too (if applicable): Upto £125,000 - 0% of purchase price £125,000 - £250,000 - 1% of purchase price £250,000 - £500,000 - 2% of purchase price £500,000 and above - 3% of purchase price
  8. As previously stated, it depends on the airline. A very general rule of thumb seems to be that the budget carriers will not allow it but the others will, particularly the long haul. In my recent experience, BA, Virgin, Delta and Air China have all permitted it.
  9. Isn't that the place that do the aptly titled "Chicken Silly Hot"?
  10. You're not missing much at Amraj - the food was bland and expensive. Stick with Butler's
  11. If you (the landlord) already have a TV licence, you don't need an extra one for a communal set in the living room.
  12. The guy was asking for advise, Viking - not to be wound up...
  13. It doesn't matter if you only watch Sky, ITV, DVDs or pay per view porn. If you have a television or a TV tuner card you have to have a licence.
  14. Even if the landlord is already paying a tv license, you need to buy one. Even if the landlord supplied the TV, you need to have your own licence. It sucks, I know, but that's just the way it is! http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/information/landlords.jsp It's all very well people telling you not to bother, but it's not them who will be landed with a fine...
