  1. A very good friend of mine Paul Bellamy worked for the Clegg twins at their insurance office at the bottom of Staniforth Road and he has some very interesting stories about them. Paul went on to run hisnown insurance agents and moved to Handsworth Road near the White Rose pub, it was called Cavendish Insurance Brokers with Alan Barker who has sadly passed away, Paul is still alive and kicking and still runs and owns Cavendish Car Sales on Staniforth Road and he has been there for around 40 years. I see him every Saturday for brunch with 5 others. Paul is in his early eighties but still plays 5 a side football twice a week and belies his age.
  2. Can anybody tell me if local football has started with all the corona virus & if games are being or have been played at Davys sports ground on Prince of Wales Road as i live local & like to watch a game there.
  3. Hello fellow forum members. I am just wondering how much it would be to have a 3 bed room terrace house painted labour only as i am supplying the paint, all the walls throughout the house which are newly plastered which i understand is not straight forward & glossing the skirting boards but not the doors. So its 3 bedrooms, 2 normal size 12'x12' & 1 box room 10'x8', kitchen with small unity room & a standard 13x13 living room. I am just wanting a rough idea for when a get some quotes in so i will know if the quotes are high or low etc.

  6. Dogs will be used to sniff out any drugs that the football fans may be carrying & West Ham who were playing at Bramhall Lane have a well known holing element the ICF so the police will be well aware of them.
  7. A couple of years ago I was fishing at the back of the wicker & a guy was fishing further up just past the Blonk Street bridge & he had a big trout on spinner maybe 5 or 6 lbs.
  8. I thought that the old pub was just extended to make the pub larger & was still in the same place as it always was? I used to play pool for the Tea Pot when Keith Pawson was the landlord & what a great landlord he was, I heard he had passed away a while ago.
