  1. ...............heights! I get dizzy on a thick carpet! Can't watch a roller coaster on TV.particularly as it reaches the top height.................then drops down I have to look away!!! Crazy............
  2. St Lukes will take them. I know certain animal charities are grateful too.
  3. I had this op 20 od yearsa go. The best thing you can do is DO AS YOU ARE TOLD!!! I didn't, and was off work for almost five months!! Must admit to not being a good patient, don't do sitting about very well. It took probably a year to get over it completely. Good luck, hope all goes well for you.
  4. I buy rabbit from time to time. I flour it, fry it, then put it in the slow cooker with, mushrooms, onions, celery, pearl barley, stock, salt and pepper. I cook it over several hours, allow it to go cold, then remove all the bones! It is very low in fat, and tates wonderful.!! Must admit, I prefer not to think of domestic bunnies when eating it!!!!!
  5. .....................ox tail! Still cook it from time to time in the slow cooker, as it takes hours in an oven, and becomes a bit costly as you watch the meter whirling ropund!
  6. I would NEVER buy anything over £9.99 from Currys, The after sales is a joke! Stick to your guns, show off in the shop, go to Trading standards, the press..........................!!!
  7. .........................Neil Warnock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I hope all the posters DO get together, it will be good for you to chat to others who know how devastated you are feeling. I am very lucky insomuch as I have had a good few years to come to terms with my loss, it doesn't make it any easier to cope with mind. I have a wonderful family, good friends, some of whom have gone through the loss of a husband since I lost mine. I am also lucky that I am happy with my own company, I live alone but am not lonely. I have animals who rely on me, they give me a reason to keep on top of things. Would this be an option for some of the recent bereaved? I am not one for going out at night, prefer to go out for lunch, which then means I don't have to come home to an empty house in the dark. If you do all meet up (and you should) I think it would be good for you all, and I wish you all, all the very best.
  9. I worked with a lady whose family had the gene. I think the terrifying thing is that it is a 50/50 chance of you having it if it runs in your family. I lost touch with her, but often wonder how she fared. The only way is NOT to have children, she didn't, but her sister did, and presumed by the time they were adults a cure would have been found.................sadly not. I have shed tears watching the you tube footage, what wonderful young man, he is a credit to the human race.
  10. Allen, is that before or after Church?!!
  11. Are there any 'caffs' of that nature around in Sheffield or local these days? I never went, but after reading all the posts, wish I had!!!
  12. ...........my dear old Mum reckoned it was the bigggest con since marriage!!!!!
  13. ..................know of George Malkin, last heard of in Aston, but I think came from Parsons Cross.
  14. His family must be shattered, but at least they now know what happened to him. RIP Ben.
