  1. I personally avoid West St. & surrounding areas on Friday - Sunday night completely. It is a total NIGHTMARE as far as enjoyable nights out go. 95% of City Centre is now this way. Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  2. At 04:02 I woke up to a very loud arcing/buzzing noise - something was arcing heavily and it was clearly pretty high current. I got dressed and went outside to find the whole street in darkness. I came back home and reported it to both Kier (Street Lights) & Northern PowerGrid (Transmission). The power was restored at 07:44. Still not entirely sure what the issue was but I have never heard arcing like that in person before! It had been 3+ hours of torrential rain, but zero thunder or lightening. Hope this helps?:banana:
  3. Asolutely! Been going to Chubby's since the early 80s -used to come out of Roxie's /Josephine's and walk to Chubby's! Back in the 'good old days' they were the best Kebab House in Town! These days the number one place is up a few blocks at West St. - Popeyes's = CANNOT be beaten on the 'Babs - If it ain't on the menu then just ask an ye shall receive!! lol :banana:
  4. I second THAT one!:banana: ---------------- Now playing: Triple Concept - Tonetwister (Matic Mix) (Tetsuo) - YouTube via FoxyTunes
  5. I mainly use google.co.uk but it depends what sort of content/results I am looking for. I think it's a bit like saying "How long is a piece of string", it's "Horses for Courses" I think. But Google is pretty hard to beat - esspecially if you use the advanced search features. :-) http://www.google.co.uk/advanced_search Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  6. I was with O2 for years... good service but only ADSL2+ Was getting approx 3.8D/L & 1.3U/L - But Origin is now giving me 10 times that as I am 98 meters (electrical length) from the cab. I'm very happy with the service & they are a very friendly little bunch. :-) ★ Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  7. 'Cheapo' Android tablets can be very good value - you just have to make sure that the chipset inside is one that is well documented and current for the best Android experience. Flash is STILL supported on devices (phones or tablets) that came with it pre installed as long as they are on Android 2.x, 3.x or 4.0.x - Jelly Bean (4.1.x) and above does NOT support Flash o Stock browser, but it is possible to 'sideload' it and get it to run in a 3rd party browser. ;-) Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  8. Have you tried upgrading the Flash Player? Also un-installing the app, rebooting and re-installing can sometimes fix issues like this. :-) Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  9. Hi there - I have done the course (40+ exams) twice, but not done the external exam - I'm now studying in my spare time for my CCDP certification, but have been sidetracked due to ill health. I would strongly advise against doing any of the 'Boot Camp' type (Quick + Short) courses on offer, as you don't learn the knowledge in full, just how to pass the exams. Both times I did the course, first in 2006 and then in 2008, I spent 1 year on the coursework and section exams - it was split into CCNA 1,2,3 + 4 then as a years course. I now feel confident that know my stuff, long after passing the exams. The CCNA course is the BASE for the rest of your networking life/Career - so you need to start off with a Firm Foundation in your knowledge. Here are the site for the main course providers in Sheffield... http://www3.shu.ac.uk/trainingfoundry/cisco-courses.cfm http://www.snclc.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=199:ccna&catid=47&Itemid=153 *second venue is also a registered Pearson Vue Testing Centre - for your Certification Exam* http://www.tritectraining.co.uk/course.asp?course=5 I hope this info is helpful(?) and if anyone has any futher questions or would like any help then feel free to PM me or Julado on here and she can put you in touch with me. doing CCNA is something you will NEVER regret, it is alot to take in at first, but worth every second of the time that you spend studying it (not just in an IT context, but also for learning personal studying discipline) these skills will stand you in good stead for the rest of your life!!:banana:
  10. As long as they are fresh - yes!:banana: ---------------- Now playing: Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) - C+C Music Factory (1990) - YouTube via FoxyTunes
  11. Nagas are no longer the hottest chillies in the (known) world, but still very NICE!!!!!! We must go!!:banana: ---------------- Now playing: Feelin Hot Hot Hot!! - YouTube via FoxyTunes
  12. Guys Guys Guys - There is no need for this petty arguing. The way this thread has gone (and the very fact that it exists in the first place) is just one of the many reasons why I don't bother with this forum much these days. OK - The "pressing of the button" is just a 'physical' user input action that triggers a response script in software. So yes, it is (in theory) possible - but VERY unlikely that it it could/would take a photo without the users knowledge. I know faceache has crappy ethics when it comes to it's user's data - but seriously? Do you really think that they would write THAT sort of function into a mainstream app? PLEASE!:banana: Now playing: Radiohead - Paranoid Android (on Jools Holland, 1997) - YouTube via FoxyTunes
  13. Not anymore! I have them backed up on my server and in the cloud - also I have done a full-wipe and reflashed twice since THOSE were taken!:banana: ---------------- Now playing: Gloria versets for organ on themes from Verdi's 'La traviata,' Op 50/3 via FoxyTunes
  14.:banana: ---------------- Now playing: Sinfonia for organ 'Omaggio a Bellini' via FoxyTunes
  15. The new app has an "Upload from Gallery" feature - in order to use this it has to GO INTO your Pictures!:banana: ---------------- Now playing: Academic Festival Overture, for orchestra in C minor ('Akademische Festouvertüre'), Op. 80 via FoxyTunes
