  1. quick sharpening attempt, not great but does improve the pic a little bit... the more sharpening you try to introduce the more artefacts you get http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww72/panoutsosg/Untitled-1.jpg
  2. providing your heat sink /fan is installed right you shouldn't have any problems. It's normal to have 30-40decC at idle or close to 50-52 under load. If your reading of 49C is at idle then you have a problem... check your heat sink/cpu fan
  3. It's a shame when people make generalisations about a car manufacturer as a result of a bad dealership experience, but unfortunately this is reality. I was almost put off buying the car I so much wanted mainly because of the attitude of the sales person (mazda pennistone rd.). Luckily for me, I just shopped around, looked for advice from other mazda owners (online forums etc.) and got my mazda from a dealer in Doncaster. I still enjoy my brilliant car, and when the odd problem occurs the dealer is there to support me and not rip me off. Mazda are in par with Toyota in terms of car reliability, all customer polls show that (check top gear polls, european web sites etc.) I'd suggest to you if the dealer sucks (and obviously he does indeed) just change dealer... As for putting fuel on a courtesy car this is normal, not sure if this is right or wrong though
  4. you could try: http://photobucket.com/ it's a free image hosting website. You can upload your pics over there and then post links to your pictures
  5. To be honest I would try using the full manual mode. The 350 is a quite good camera, explore its capabilities by learning to use the full manual mode. It will be difficult to begin with, but after you catch up it will be very rewarding. Every situation needs different settings to capture the best shot... Basketball action depends on the lighting situation, but a relatively high ISO, with fast shutter speed, and wide open aperture (to focus on action and blur the background) would do well to stop action. You can try being more artistic and deliberately allow a slower shutter speed, to capture trailing-movement, i.e. during a jump-shot.
  6. http://www.photoshopsupport.com/ I've have used this site in the past, basic info but good for beginners
  7. Very nice pictures indeed... You can also have a look at my small collection here: http://www.shutter-release-dp.co.uk/gallery_sheffield.htm
  8. I don't like strict diets where you log calories etc and have fancy diet names (Atkins, carbs&protein, weight watchers etc.). I only do what is common sense and it always works for me every time... just cut the cr4p (crisps, chocolates, biscuits take aways etc) don't eat excessively - like a pig - and do some exercise 3-4 times a week (gym, running, aerobics, tennis, anything that makes you loose some extra calories really!) and that's it. It's more important to set some realistic goals (i.e. loose 7-8 pounds a month) and stick to your plan. rather than starve yourself for months with any strict diet that will only change - lower - your metabolism and eventually you end up gaining weight by eating less... ! ! ! And remember that a nice body is not a result of 3-4 months of diet or summer preparation... it's a result of your lifestyle... And once you loose that extra pounds it's easier to maintain your bodyweight, so you can relax your 'plan' and have this fatty food - treat - once in a while.
  9. Temperature decreases with height at an average rate of 6.4 °C for every 1 km increase in height. This decrease in temperature is caused by adiabatic cooling - as air rises the atmospheric pressure falls and so the air expands. In order to expand the air must do work on its surroundings and therefore its temperature decreases (due to Conservation of energy).
  10. I also have economy 7 in my flat and the idea is that the electric storage heater and the water boiler are 'charged' during the 'cheap electricity' time slot which is overnight. This is between 1am and 8am (differs between electricity suppliers). You cannot change this time-slot, and your appliances are equipped with devices that 'sense' the time slot and switch on. In my case, I have 'boost' switches (located near the boiler and near the storage heaters), using the switches you can operate the appliances using normal electricity.
  11. I'm using Google's toolbar for FireFox, and has a spell checker... very useful indeed...
  12. thanks for the comments And thanks for the advice... I'll try it...
  13. I have PHP available but I don't know how to use it... would it be difficult to give it a try with PHP or would it be better to look into frames-iframes ?
