  1. I will be re-newing mine, I want to continue using the season card - hope it's available.
  2. Typical Sheffield Forum. Let's start knocking the companies that are making an effort to improve our city.
  3. It's a shame it's moved from its spiritual home of Lowedges Park
  4. Woodseats, Ecclesall Road, Broomhill are all better than HIllsborough.
  5. The pss taking continues. I cannot do a link but there's a new Paddy Power promotion that shows San Marino are looking to play the Blades in an effort to boost morale in the nation that continually loses matches.
  6. Kompany is seen by many (media & pundits alike) as a Premier league icon. Wilder and Hecky before are not held in a similar light. Our goals against column (including 5 at Burnley) have also made us the butt of many jokes. The 'pundits' have applauded Kompany's Burnley for trying to play the right way (whatever that means) and we haven't. We could realistically finish above Burnley. Would things change then?
  7. I have a great deal of respect for Richard Tims the Sheffield FC chairman. For many years he has created a strategic plan and has followed it. It puts to shame the actions of the current owners of our 2 professional clubs. I very much doubt the Prince or Mr Chansiri would know the definition of a strategic plan. The journey for Sheffield FC obviously started way back in 1857. This is a new chapter for the club. Many of us have commented before about the lack of publicity Sheffield City Council have given over to the Sheffield FC story and its unique and famous place in the history of football. I would urge Richard Tims to consider approaching a TV production company to create a programme over the next few years as the new facility is built and Sheffield FC returns to our city. I hope this opportunity of telling the world about the club that gave us all the 'Beautiful Game' is not lost.
  8. We have had the 6 week holiday structure for generations. It needs changing. Many in the tourism industry has to make the most of a 6 week window. If the 6 week holiday (there is an argument to reduce it to 4) was spread over more weeks in tghe summer across the country then this would give the tourism industry a larger window in which to operate and offer more competitively prices accordingly. Alternatively reduce the 6 weeks holiday to 4 and then allow parents the opportunity of using 2 weeks in a given school year to take an affordable family holiday.
  9. To quote your words '...to help the blades stand upright' Well I'm in favour of anything that will '....help the Blades stay up....'
  10. With all the appartments being built creating city centre living and new office blocks one would expect city centre restaurants and the LIght cinema to be busier. Not sure what more the council can do - they've tried to increase the footfall. Do people just sit in their appartments and click on to Netflix etc.?
  11. Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson good architects. Lowedges has never looked so good.
  12. I used the toilets at the Copthorne. At my age the distance from parking the car to the South Stand toilets is a little too far. Appreciate Hilton re-opening although I would give to whoever is the operator. We've all got to remember if we don't use it then we'll lose it.
