  1. Hi everyone. We have a mini-tournament (4 teams) on the Friday 30 Sept., and we need players for this 8 a side event. You must be aged 18-24, and must not be in employment, education or training. We will be playing representatives of SUFC, Sheffield Futures and Street League at the U-Mix Centre. There's no fee, as this is part of a community 'togetherness' programme. Please pass this on if you know someone, or if you fit the criteria yourself. Thank you
  2. No, it's not like that at all. This is a no win no fee basis
  3. There's no scam. I've worked for companies who fudged figures and I was unaware until I sat with a crying customer. I looked into it and a lot of people don't realise they can actually claim back their money, even if the company no longer operates. I don't see how it can be perceived as a scam when it's helping the ripped off consumer.
  4. Hi. So I don't get chucked out of being in the wrong group, how where do I advertise that those who were missold solar can claim their money back?
  5. Did anyone ever get a list in the end? That link seems to have expired that Musey put on here.
  6. To be honest, for some people the free option is good, but for others the option of owning them outright is the best option. You would be better off getting quotes, but it's not always wise to go for the cheapest....the same goes for the most expensive; some companies over-charge for the cheap panels, making them look legit. There's a company called Your Energy Options that offer unbiased advice, and aren't affiliated with any brand. Here's a link to their survey https://eSurv.org?u=SolarPV Oh and they don't even need to come to your house to pressure you. They do what is called a 'remote quote'.
  7. Just came across the solar battery where you can use the electricity at night, that you've stored from the daytime. Anyone heard about them? I saw it on Facebook from a company that says you can store your electricity to use at night, but can still claim the Feed-in Tariff....is this true?
  8. Around £8k for us but we save on gas with an iBoost, and have LED lighting throughout, which saves even more. FiT has just been reduced to 13.88pkwh
  9. We get paid for what we generate, whether we use it or not. Then 50% of the generation is paid at the lower rate of 4.77pkwh. Obviously if we use more than we generate, we are charged as normal. ---------- Post added 16-01-2015 at 18:55 ---------- You're right, because A Shade Greener wouldn't do it for just the export tariff. Though I must say that we could have had the free panels, but chose the self funded option as I get the money instead of the company.
  10. You should get paid for what you generate, as well as the export tariff for what is not used. They can't tell how much you don't use, so assume it's 50% of what you've generated
  11. The free ones, or rent a roof schemes keep the tariff. That's why they only choose large south facing roofs. They keep the full FIT. That's how they pay for the panels and get profit. We actually had to sign a loan agreement, but the way it was shown, means the government pays for the panels, and we get the thousands back instead of the company
  12. To be honest the FREE ones are only good if you're in all day to use the electricity. Self funded panels are what we have. We own them, yet don't have to pay for them, AND we get to keep the feed in tariff....win win.
  13. I need a price on how much it will cost to make a journey from Mowbury Street to Bramall Lane. Price has to be for the journey and not per person, due to it being anything from 5 to 10 people at a time. Journeys would mean pick up at about 8:45am and/or 12:45pm on a Tuesday, and it could be the same for Thursday's too. This could be regular if the price is right.
  14. LOL...I like the Dragon's Den quote. My idea is to be a one-stop-shop for businesses. I will sell any type of training for any sector (as an example), and I get paid on a commission only basis. The companies I work with/for, agree not to up their prices to pay me. Instead, they treat me almost like a freelance employee, but I don't have to answer to any one company. I have sold training to businesses for some years now, and a lot of the time I was asked by the companies I was selling to, if we offered other types of training, that I knew we didn't do. Therefore, I would like to offer ALL types of training. I have trainers from all over the UK now on board waiting for a call from me to use them to deliver training. If I can get other things from them like stationary, or web designs, then that will be a bonus to me and the customer is happy because they won't have to search everywhere for these things. I think I may have explained it wrong to begin with. I hope this explains it better.
  15. Thank you for your support. Yes, redundancy is a killer though. Both me and the wife have suffered 4 each in as many years. That is just pure bad luck, and 2 of the times for me, were just before she gave birth to our children. As I am a jack-of-all-trades, master of none, I thought it would be the ideal opportunity to do a variety, as I can talk about them all yet don't have to have the full knowledge....if that makes sense. Like for example, websites...I can design an HTML one myself, and talk about how it works but I am not fully knowledgeable to be able to do one from scratch myself.
