  1. Has anyone else just felt the earth move? There has just been an earthquake in woodseats!
  2. does it!? that would be cool coz ive budgeted paying installments at the end of Feb and end of March. can spend that money on a nice holiday.
  3. I have lived in a house in Sheffield since July and paid council tax from July right through to February. The council tax bill doesn't have any dates after feb 2008. So... I was just wondering when do 2008's payments start? Do next years payments follow on from february?? Ive looked on the sheffield.gov website and it doesnt seem to mention anything about this. Thanks in advance. Phil
  4. Does anyone know of any van hire companies open on bank holiday mondays. I'm really struggling.
  5. Dear parents, I am a final year student, studying BSc (hons) Business and Technology at Sheffield Hallam University and as part of my final year I have to theoretically set-up a new business, my idea being a bouncy castle hiring service in Sheffield. When setting up any new business, whether it be theoretical or real, primary market research is essential therefore I would be extremely grateful if there are any parents with children between the ages of 3 and 10 who would mind spending 5 minutes to complete a short online questionnaire. All responses are completely confidential and will only be used for academic purposes. If you are interested you can access the questionnaire at the following link: http://www.my3q.com/go.php?url=matthewnewby/inflatablesmiles Many thanks in anticipation of your responses. 6. There's probably another topic very similar to this one, but I thought i'd have a rant anyway. I got assaulted last night in the leadmill by a group of 4 youths who broke my nose and kicked me repeatedly in the head so I called an ambulance which took me to the hospital. I waited 3 - 4 hours to see a doctor even though I was the only person waiting in the reception and when I eventually did get to see a doctor, she did an x-ray (which I was waiting a further hour for) and said - "yes it's broken. Go to the halamshire tomorrow." Great. I thought the customer service there was appalling. It would have been fine if I'd have been told how long I was going to be waiting.
  7. Muse are good.. I cant stand the way he really prounounces the inhaling of air after he sings each line.
  8. Can anyone hear that alarm on pinner road/hunter house road/hunter hill road/guest road? Its been going on all night. Dont think I can take it if it goes on for much longer. What if the occupants of the house are on holiday?
  9. Was thinking about taking the missus out for a meal and wondered what the food was like at Takapuna. How does it compare to similar 'upmarket' bar/restaurant combo's like Crystal (Which I think is very good) Cubana or Iguanas??
  10. I agree. The roads around hunters bar are appalling. There are massive repairs needed on rustlings road to the speed bumps which are a nightmare to go on. Fulwood road is appaling as is brocco bank! Needs sorting out!
  11. Hi, Me and my mates went to laganas a couple of years ago. Had a great time! There is a really good night excursion which takes about 60 people on a beach party. Think it might be still going. Basically they take you on a coach to a small offshore island and you have free booze all night and drinking games and stuff! When you get there you walk along a wooden pier over the sea - pretty cool. think it was about 25 quid, but well worth it!
  12. for summat mainstream i dont think you can beat good old cinammon bun and a macchiato from starbucks off tudor square!!! For something more traditional though i'd probably say Lynnes Pantry opposite the city hall on(norfolk street (is it?))
  13. What about Croatia?? My family are from croatia and we go every year. Its really cheap. Got loads of culture, things to do. Fantastic beaches and scenery, clubs and loads of history. Could go to Porec in Istria, Dubrovnik on the dalmatian coast or one of the many islands like Hvar or Brac! Thoughts?
  14. Well. I think that they're an awesome band. Down to earth sheffield gents who dont even want the hype. I think we'll see next week when the album comes out the real hype to begin. I'm just hoping that they stick to their roots, which I think they will, and keep churning out head-bopping tunes like they are doing at the moment. Looking forward to dancing like a mad man in the leadmill on Saturday to fake tales of san fransisco...
  15. at the end of the day - its each to their own... some people like rock, others like pop, some like rap and others like folk those who say that arctic monkeys are bland - are you deaf???
