  1. Have you tried using dehumidifiers? Reducing the levels of humidity in your home can speed up the drying out process. I would have thought that dehumidifiers would dry out a home in a week or so?
  2. Hi, You could just get a portable dehumidifier if you can't really afford to get a specialist in at the moment. It will dry out the walls and I'm sure it would make it more suitable as a dark room. It would take care of the smell too! Best of luck with it!
  3. Hi, You could just get a portable dehumidifier to dry out the area if you can’t really afford to get a specialist in at the moment. A portable dehumidifier will also help prevent the damp reoccurring. I hope this helps you!
