Anyone recommend where to buy mulling wine and/or vintage cider to mull please? It's for an event and I'm after about 8 bottles of each, so 6l of each. It's probably posible to mull most wines, and add in ingredients, but we need the simplicity of drinks that are pre-perfected to heat and serve. T.i.a.

Sounds like some fab stuff going on. Does it have to have a Christmas link or can it be all kindness during the run up, even if it's not festive related?

Volunteering isn't a Conservative idea. The 1997 incoming Labour government talked about Active Communities - similar ideas to the Big Society. I'm sure other politicians of all colours had views on volunteering in the past too. The nice thing about the internet is that there's lots of room for different opinions. I disagree with you. But if this is how you feel, I think it's fine for you to crack on and campaign on your views.

Staunton: You seem to hate tesco. How have you noticed the volunteers? Where you shopping there? Let's spread kindness. If you want a food bank to link with other businesses, then get volunteering. There's plenty of room for more volunteering in every city.

Teen boys clothing, what's cool what's Not?

Firstly, well done for asking. I wasn't sure this would be the place to ask but you've got some really constructive answers. Autism's a really broad spectrum so how relevant advice is depends on your boy and how he presents. Whether him looking and paying attention to brands is a good idea might depend on how well he is able to do this discreetly. If he's going to stare, this might not be such a good idea unless you ate black and white about being subtle (a hard thing for some kids with ASD to do). On balance its probably a fabulous idea but you know the lad so you make that call. Ask the school about what support they have for children on the autism spectrum. The Special needs coordinator is in charge but don't be afraid to ask them who the best person to speak to about it is as the Senco may be too busy whereas her deputy might be a gem. It's worth sharing your lad's background with the school. They may not do much but if they don't know, then they definitely can't look out for issues. Some schools have areas that vulnerable kids can do to during break and lunches. Finally, groups often form round common interests so for example include musical types (e.g guitar), skateboarders, mountain biking, football, computer geeks and so on. His interests might affect the group and so dress sense. -
Good Samaritans - Shalesmoor tram stop

Great to hear this good news story about the kindness of strangers. Thanks for sharing. I Hope I'd respond like the lady who waited with you if I was ever in that situation but I've never been tested in that way. She has and came up trumps -
I love quirky things like this mural. Artwork like this makes our city a better place. Someone must have put so much into creating the original artwork. It's a shame that so much damage has been done. It must have been pretty sad news for the artist. We're all only human. Hopefully it can be fixed so it returns to its full glory and can be enjoyed as before.

It's a great question. Maybe an even better question for those not so keen on Sheffield would be what do you think is best about Sheffield?

Any beginner pottery classes near grenoside?
sheff6danny replied to Arby's topic in Sheffield Crafts Group
I'm not sure there'd be enough keen potters to sustain a pottery wheel class that far out of the city. Maybe look at Arthouse Sheffield. Good luck -
I didn't think pineapple was a good idea on pizza but tried it when I was delivered the wrong pizza. Gotta say I'm a convert and Hawaiian's now my favourite

Middlewood ambulance station isn't that far. That's where the slow traffic would start. You'd queue along the main road and the P and R is off the main road. Thanks for thinking of taking the tram. More people using public transport is a great thing. Why not arrive early one morning and give it a test run?
