Not too bad when going via a Eckington & Renishaw, off at Junction 30; quicker than The Parkway during rush hour. I suppose it depends on direction from M1 that you need to be - southbound is better from here...

Hi, I moved here from Northern Ireland 12 years ago to do my PhD and stayed. We've lived all over the city and currently reside in Ridgeway, which is on the Sheffield/Derbyshire border. It's a very pretty village very close to Sheffield, so you get the best of both worlds and not far from the M1. Hope you enjoy your move, Sheffield is a great city. Best of luck!
