  1. Can anyone advise me the best place to advertise a pedigree puppy for sale, there are so many websites that I am becoming confused and uncertain about the validity of some of the ads. I rang someone this morning who advertised wanting my particular breed but when I spoke with her, she couldnt remember what she had advertised for so I had to read her ad to her. Needless to say I never continued the conversation.
  2. I have two sons aged 6 and 8 years, they have been brought up with more than one dog in the house, and their grandad has a dog who visits regularly. My boys know that they do not approach any dogs in the street/parks etc even if they have seen the dog several times and know it is friendly, you never know when or what would make a dog turn, this could apply to your own dog aswell, my boys have been taught from a very young age to respect our dogs and treat them nicely. They know that when a dog owner says "it's ok to stroke my dog, he's friendly" they dont touch it until we say yes. In this day and age, respect for all animals should be part of general growing up for all children, it would save lifes and unjuries to children, and adults, and unnecessary upset for dog owners whose dog may have to be put down. I never let my dogs off the lead, I am scared they would run off, Charlie regularly has selective hearing and I am too fat to chase after them.
  3. Thanks for your replies, I have booked him in for friday morning then he has got some one with him all weekend to cuddle and keep my looney bitch Amber off him. I am sure he understood my conversation to the vet cos he has now gone into a mammoth sulk. Re the going back to being puppish, that would be quite nice with Charlie as we have always nick named him Mr Grumps as he just saunters about and never really breaks into a sweat. I will let you all know how he gets on and thanks again.
  4.:confused:My male cavalier who is almost 3 years old has suddenly begun "weeing" on everything and anything. This includes dog toys, childrens toys, shoes, clothes, up chair legs and other furniture, Up until this he has always been a good clean dog and religiously used the dog flap both day and night. We have recently had a new carpet fitted and our bitch has been in season, but this problem began about six weeks before both of these events. I took him to vet last night to see if he had an infection, this was clear and I was advised to have him castrated and assurred this would stop the problem, the vet explained that "in his words" he is a stud dog, he has fathered three litters, his hormones are very strong and that is what is causing the problem. I obviously want this problem sorting, but dont want to put Charlie through an op and lay out money if it is not gonna work. Any advise or comments please- Help!
