  1. ooo eck, sounds like you guys had some real probs on the Badger part . I haven't heard anything going off for a while though..."wonders if they got a robocop doing the rounds of Woodhouse", lol....i live in Woodhouse, thinks we need one sometimes!. Back to the explosion thing.....I cannot find anything via the news or papers about an explosion. The copter was out from around 1am ish, but it seems as soon as it went away, the bang happened. Really weird how peoples electrical things went off, but not from the sockets. Anyways, as long as no-one was injured etc. It would just be nice to know what happened, ...it's a nosey thing, lol. Thanks for all ur posts about it. x
  2. Morning all Just wandering if anyone else heard a huge explosion sound very early this morning, around 1.30am at Woodhouse?. It seemed a bit on the strange side, our computers went off, the living room tv went off as did the sky box, the games console was still on which was in the room, so it wasn't the plug sockets tripping, or that would have gone off too . They all came straight back on, but then there was an almighty explosive sounding bang. We went out to see if we could see anything or smell any burning, but nothing at all could be seen. Police were informed. I still don't know what it was, maybe something in the Valley had gone up in flames. Did anyone else hear it....i wasn't dreaming, lol.
  3. post now deleted, problem sorted. Thanks for the reply natzzz & gabby. B4 anyone starts about me being on income support........health issues, very bad prevent me from working, and it does my effin head in. I could get a job no probs, my mind will let me, but my body is well and truly fooked!!. I never ever want sympathy, just another corner to rock in...pmsl. My humour keeps me going.
  4. My sister has been burgled this evening, so you can imagine the upset and violation it has caused. More so, as it was games consoles for the children that were stolen, but everything else tipped upside down. If anyone in any areas surrounding Stradbroke is offered any games consoles-Nintendi Wii + games, PS2, & X-box, all with games going cheap and you know they are stolen, please please contact the police, they have been notified. Thankyou.

  6. I recommend Brenda Diskin...........she is superb!. She is a DEEP TRANCE / PHYSICAL MEDIUM, CLAIRVOYANT, PSYCHIC as well as other things too, and as well as being a genuine natural lovely person. She is a memeber of this site, but please check out Brenda on her site http://www.sacredearth.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/
  7. I am sure your rent situation will be resolved. I haven't read all the posts, but if you are in rent arrears with Sheffield Council, they will accept a weekly payment until the arrears are cleared, usually around ÂŁ3. I don't know if housing assiciations do this, but you can ask. I received a letter last week from Sheffield housing, and i couldn't stop laughing!. My home is at risk if i didn't pay the arrears of.......50p!!!!!. OMG, it would cost more than that to print the letter out, use an envelope and post it. I must go around the house and look for some fallen pennies and take it in personally, lol. Anyway, good luck.
  8. That's what i told my friend, she is sweet, lovely "nan-nan" type lady, and i never personally had any problems with her. I wont go into too many details but my friend's son is gifted as Betty was from being at a young age. It turned out that Betty accused her of just trying to put her son into all this just for the money, which is soooooooo far from the truth. Her son doesn't realise he is gifted and has no understanding of it, so without putting things in his head she wandered if Betty could help in any way,(with her many years of experience) thats all she wanted. So i recommended Betty, and my friend eneded up in tears!. I was very shocked at Betty being rude, so unlike her. My friend was also recommended to Betty by her local spiritualist church too. Apart from that, i have had a few readings and they were very accurate, just don't ask her to help with children, lol.
  9. Nope, she's not the White Witch. She is a medium, tarot reader and spiritualist. that used to live in Hackenthorpe. I have seen her a few times, but will no longer recommend her as she was extremely rude to a very dear freind of mind.
  10. The following is the report regarding the 1 year old killed by a Rottweiler: Becki, who lives in a Wakefield flat, has refused to return to the death scene. Yesterday she was being comforted at a secret address by jobless Damian, who does not live with her, and her family. Kara, whose courage has been praised by police, was said to be “devastated” over her vain battle to save Archie-Lee. She is still in shock and has been offered counselling. The 2½-year-old female rottweiler, owned for six months by Becki’s 43-year-old mother, was shot by a cop. Becki was staying at the mum’s end-of-terrace home over Christmas and New Year. And the family had made plans for her 18th birthday celebration in between. She went out on Friday afternoon, leaving Archie-Lee with Kara and two other sisters aged seven and six. But while Kara was upstairs, the seven-year-old took the baby to see the rottweiler, kept in the yard. The dog suddenly snatched Archie-Lee from the girl’s arms by the back door. A police cordon remained around the house yesterday but well-wishers were allowed to leave floral tributes. A family friend said: “Becki was so proud of little Archie-Lee and was a smashing mum. She is shocked beyond belief about what happened. "Goodness knows how she will ever be able to celebrate a birthday again.” Becki’s elder sister Heather, 23, said: “Little Archie was a God-send. I loved him so much.” Detective Superintendent Steve Payne said the rottweiler “had interacted with members of the family including children and had showed no previous signs of aggression”. Yet a neighbour insisted: “I’ve been worried ever since it arrived. It was a vicious-looking thing and massive. When anybody walked past it would go mad, leaping up at the gate.” I dont see anything in this report that says the 13 yr old went with the 7 year old to see the dog., as mentioned previously. Anyway, it's a shame, as with humans, that the minority spoil things for the majority. It's understandable that people fear Rottweilers, as they may do Akitas, or Rhodesian Ridgebacks, or even Alsations which have been known to attack people. But fear can be sensed by dogs. Nervous dogs will attack too. If any dog attacked my children , i too would instantly hate that kind of dog, it's only human nature to do that. I have been bitten by a Rottweiler.it didn't know me, it was tied up, and belonged to a friend of mine from years ago.(the bite wasn't bad, the dog was just nervous of me, but i showed no fear of it). I now have a Rottweiler now, who is the most softest, daftest, clumsiest gorgeous dog you could wish to meet, and i intend him to stay this way. I will not train him to be viscious, or a gaurd dog, as there is no need to do that. He happily says hello to people, who in return are great with him, & he plays with all other dogs. It is a shame when peoples dogs do turn viscious and attack, and i can fully understand peoples opinions of them, but please remember, it is not just Rottys, but many other powerful dogs as well as small dogs that will and can attack, or they can be so soft and loving. Humans can turn at the flick of a switch too....so are we going to be called Rottweilers too?,lol., but NOT ALL humans turn nasty, again, the minority spoils it for the majority. I hope you can fully understand my standing up for Rottweilers, as they do seem to get an uneccessary bashing, but the dog concerned did indeed deserve to be put down, but that doesn't make them all bad.
  11. has anyone actually read the full report on what happened regarding the whol rotty kills child????......It turned out, that while the 16 yr old babysitter was upstairs, a 7 year old child picked up and took the one year old child OUTSIDE TO THE BACK GARDEN to see the Rottweiler. The dog the proceeded to grab the one year old out of the 7 year old hands!. The Neighbours had said that this dog was unpredictable and always barking at people at the fences/gates. Now if this dog was known to be like that, there should have been locks on the door to prevent ANY child getting out to the back garden where the dog was, and children should not have been left unsupervised. Kill the DEED, not the BREED!!!!.
  12. my old dog was a Xbreed, Labrador/staffy.(mostly lab). He had the most fantastic temperament you could wish for in a dog, everyone loved him and he was so loving and gentle, but he didn't like his tail being pulled, and it happened just that once. I have known Jack Russells, Yorkshire terriers and other small dogs to bite people too!
  13. Ruths dogs are lovely.i have visited, fussed, cuddled and even checked what looked like an abcess on one of thier feet.......and the Rotty let me!. (She was taken to the vets immediately after)Like i said b4, it can be any dog that can attack, and many owners are to blame...........but does anyone think that this discussion is getting a bit out of hand?. We are just trying to defend our Rotties, that is all....just to let people know that NOT all of them are bad.. and nope, i didn't get one for the sake of it being a gaurd dog, lol.
  14. Rottweillers are given such a bad rep!. ANY dog can turn nasty, and i mean ANY!. I have had & trained dogs for most of my life and at 43 years old, i can pretty much handle them and train them. I recently lost a most beautiful and treasured dog, who passed away at 14 and a half years old. Now his temperament was fantastic, as most people who knew him will tell you, but he did turn once on my nephew.(whic suprised me)..and that was because my nephew pulled his tail. Luckily there was no injuries, but it goes to show ANy dog can turn. When i was young, we had to get rid of our German Shepherd, who was a fully trained police dog (my dad was the beighton bobby), this was because my mum was expecting my lil sis, and it had been on the news the a German Shepherd had attacked a baby for no reason. There have been many incidents regarding various dogs that have attacked children or adults, and it's not just Rotty's. They were originally bred for herding cattle, NOT to be gaurd dogs. I know people and have known others that have had Rottweilers for years and they can be the most gentle of creatures. We have one now, 8 months old, along with our 2 other dogs. The Rotty, named Casper is so soft, loving and clumsy!. He has a fantastic temperament and with the way we are with dogs, will carry on being like that for many years to come. It is very sad that the child was killed and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family. It must have been horrendous. But please, go easy on the Rottweilers (obviously not that one), it is the owners that is the problem too.
