  1. It's easy to be negative. Sure. But this could start off something great. Big wage earners off the bill so 3/4 players going could allow us to get 7/8 meaning we have a stronger squad. Bit of youth coming through. As for the legal battle? It's an uncontrollable to me and us as fans so I'm not worrying about that. Que sera.
  2. Clear as mud. If Wednesday have done wrong then they would be punished and rightfully so. Its dragged on long enough. Transparency is all I ask. Cant wait for this season to be over
  3. I used to park on Norfolk road near Parkhill flats. Have to get there early though. Best of luck with the new job
  4. And my Dad is bigger than your Dad... Jokes aside. Utd had identity, strong in attack, played some great football all over the pitch. Norwood is a great player and I think McGoldrick was brilliant dropping off in midfield and spreading the ball from side to side - similar to how Hooper is for Wednesday. Lets be fair here we hung on for 90 mins and were lucky to get a point. It's a time of transition for us....again....But credit to the youngsters in our squad - Penney, Thorniley, Baker and Dawson. You look at what previous Utd players have gone on to, some there in the crowd tonight - Maguire, Walker, Jagielka. Brooks doing the business at Bournemouth.....it would be great if we could have the players come through to do that.
  5. Didn't breathe for the entire match. Utd were more creative, better in possession, stronger in attack but we fought for every ball from the start until the very end. Great point, great clean sheet now let's build on this
  6. Bohemian Rhapsody The mannerisms, the posture, the voice, the entire film is fantastic from start to finish. I'd happily see it again and only saw it a couple of days ago. 10/10
  7. Absolutely brilliant. Up there for me as one of the best films of the year. I'd happily watch it again after just coming back from seeing it tonight. All play their parts incredibly well, I found out a few new things and they did Live Aid fantastically.
  8. Theres been plenty of derbies over the years when Wednesday have been the underdogs of the fixture with United flying high but somehow the result has been ground out. I was at these fixtures below O Grady and Madine scoring in the last 5 mins in 2011 Watson grabbing the only goal in 2008 Tudgays beaut of a goal. Jos' first game in charge. Wilder has galvanised that team together and got them flying high. He has added a few great additions this season particularly Norwood, have the most in form goalscorer in Sharp and has a good keeper who can organise a defence. The table doesn't lie. Wednesday haven't had a clean sheet or a settled line up so far this season. Strange decisions are being made about players with no reason to explain why - so many conspiracies are coming out from everybody who seems to be 'in the know' but nobody actually does. It would be great to have transparency so we could all be on board - Not a chairman who argues with the fans and always seems to have some sort of excuse. So Friday night...... If we lose, lets not just lie down without a fight If we win, lets build on it. I don't think its a good idea to have the match on a Friday night to be honest but I guess that's the Sky money talking. Im not going to this match but for everybody who is I hope there is no trouble and everybody stays safe. Its just a game of football after all.....isn't it?
  9. Any 5 a side teams looking for players at St George's park in High Green drop me a PM. Cheers
  10. Penney signs a new contract - sounds like Fernando is back in training according to the Star - some good news!
  11. Just moved into the High Green area and wondered if anybody knew of any good Firework displays around suitable for my 5 year old? Thanks
  12. That's a thought? I don't know, im not qualified in that area so cant really comment. Im sure some people in suits paid big money are looking into it
  13. Big shame that it didn't work out. Thought we had struck gold when we signed him. I don't think we play to his strengths though and I don't think he will come back to us. The more goals he scores, the more his value will go up so we just sell for what we can and move on
  14. You are right. I don't know too much about the ins and outs but something doesn't add up. Westwood for me was probably the best keeper ive seen at Hillsborough for a good few years. Hutchinson great on his day but not had too many of them. Kieran Lee is very much missed as well as Hooper. Its not so much as an excuse, but I don't worry about it too much as I cant personally do anything to influence it. I'll just continue to support them on the good or bad days.
  15. Forestieri being injured is the least of our problems. He just joins the ever growing list of players not available. Tough season ahead
