  1. Wimpey is right. It is a mandatory thing that all drivers, whether it be LGV or PCV, have to take every 5 years. Most people are not happy about having to do it, but it has to be done in order for drivers to carry on working as a driver.
  2. Is Driver CPC worth doing now, or left until 2014 when it becomes compulsory? What are your thoughts and where would you go for the training? Somebody told me that prices may increase when it nears the time, due to demand and lack of training companies.
  3. Hi, I got married last year in Greece and wanted to mention something that I bought for the children that came along - I thought that some of you brides & grooms might like them too. I bought 5 activity packs for the 5 young children that came to Greece to be my bridesmaids (ages between 2yrs - 8yrs old). The packs looked very colourful and fun. The activities looked simple but being a parent myself I really liked the fact that some of them were educational too! We gave them to the girls after we had finished our meal and they kept them busy right through until we went home, which was very late! Lol. The company was called Rainbow Fun. They have a website - http://www.rainbowfun.co.uk Hope this helps some of the couples that aren't sure how to keep the younger guests busy.
  4. A big thank you to everyone who made an suggestion. We named her Sophia. It suits her to the ground. She was born on the 9th August at 9:20pm, and she weighed only 6lb 1oz.
  5. Thanks for your input everyone. I really appreciate it. I'm still haven't made up my mind. In fact, I don't even have a short list, and the baby's due in about 10 weeks time Names keep coming to us then they wear off. From the original post, we don't like those much anymore. This week we are liking Gracie, Poppy (but a friend of mine just called his this), sky, Chloe, and summer.
  6. Hi guys. I have just been set up on Orange network with a livebox, and I can't seem to get the wireless part working. Waht I can tell you so far, is that I have a laptop with built in wireless. The make is Acer TravelMate 242L, and it has a variety of buttons on the keyboard, which are supposed to be for email, internet, Bluetooth and of course wireless, but none seem to have worked since I got the thing (I think I'm using it wrong, but hey). I have everything with Orange completed, so I can surf whilst wired. In my control panel is an icon that says 'wireless setup wizard', which I have gone through, but it asks me for some USB drive or something, which I don't even know I have. Please can someone help me with this, seeing as Orange say they've done their bit.
  7. There are some good suggestions on here. Thanks everyone I've added Brooke; Phoebe; Kara; Tia; Sophie and Aimee to my list. Keep 'em comin', I like the input.
  8. daftlad, where did you see this bib? It sounds so cute.
  9. Hi all. I'm gonna have a baby girl, but can't think of a name that jumps out at me. I want a nice short name, so please give your suggestions to me. So far I am looking at Paige, Kayla, Lana. Please help me choose a name
  10. I thought I'd open up a thread that allows all to share their knowledge of beating the big companies, or the legal system in a legal, but self satisfying way. For an example, I can tell you that anyone who has Sky, can get it for half price for months. What I did was call to cancel, they asked me why, I told them I couldn't afford it, they asked if I could afford it sometime in the future, I said yes, so they gave me 5 months Sky (with the Sports channels) at £18pm. Come on, and help each other out with some of your experiences of beating the system. Angelus started a thread about getting money back from the banks, by asking them to refund bank charges. They are unlawfully charging us for our non-payments, or being overdrawn. I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to Angelus for this advice, as I am now asking for money back from HSBC and LloydsTSB.
  11. Hi guys. I just wondered what method of job hunting the majority of you use. Please help me with my survey
  12. I'm wanting to study something soon, and something that will interest me that won't take years to complete...I'm not getting any younger what's the best way to learn? do I need a formal qualification, or would a portfolio do? are there many well paid jobs out there for this kind of work, and if so, what types of employment?
  13. Is anyone else having the same problem as me? When I try to access it, my whole pc freezes up, and I have to restart it to get things back to normal. I've had this version a long time now, and had no problems with it.
  14. I totally understand where you are coming from, and would say the same thing. However, I'm not intending to cure people online, but to give advice on pain relief, what products work best, which exercises to do when rehabilitating, etc. For example: On the onset of a cold, drink lots of fresh orange (vitamin C), along with 1 zinc tablet per day. Don't use this method if the cold is fully on you, as it could cause Diarrhoea. And one for my friend Steev earlier, who has the bad back...send me a private message and I'll see if I can be of help. Call it a tester. Just let me know: Where on your back it hurts. How you did it. How long you've had the pain. Has a doctor/therapist looked at your problem? I'm hoping that a mixture of western methods, along with acupressure points can help you.
  15. I know. I am a fully qualified therapist myself. There are some sites out there already, but probably with not as much detail as i would like to give to my clients. I just wondered if it was possible to make a living from having a website.
