  1. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa..???????????? Explain!!?? So...gone are the mexican moustaches, wobbly muzak & complete stranger walking in??
  2. Like Beckham and Rooney et al, disgusting...
  3. Yeah- 'their' bigots deserve a "dry slap"(Frank Butcher) as sure as ours do?
  4. I'm also sick of this problem, and have had plenty of experiences which angered me and friends/girlfriends. I work in Attercliffe and have had no racial trouble there particularly. Some of those throwing the racist abuse, of any colour, did indeed recieve as you said "a right good slap"- some people know nothing else!
  5. Yes- two lovely weeks OFF WORK! :hihi:
  6. Wow! Did that happen to anyone else? You beat me to it.
  7. Probably on both counts- I didn't know Mother Theresa was ill then as I didn't bother with the news too much- but still..eerie timing.
  8. On the day Princess Diana died, and the news was flashing everywhere, I remember saying obliquely; "God, who next- Mother Theresa?" - She died one week later. When I was younger I remember several times having a different tune in my mind, turning on the radio- only to find that very song playing on the airwaves! Some of the songs in question might have been in the charts, I can't remember, but I was spooked still... Has anyone else had similar, or more extreme, experiences?
  9. Lol! It would have been Volga of me to Putin the time and effort? Now I really Moscow!...........................................(t.u.m.b.l.e.w.e.e.d)................................
  10. Finding your family? Try the front room? Seriously, ask the Salvation Army to help, they're willing to do so, keeping everybody's details private, and will contact you with their results.
  11. Aaah, From Russia with Loathe?
  12. Yeah, the little man in 'white' above me was saying 'no', but the one in red was saying 'why not?' Lucky- or an in-built firewall( ) I didn't give anything away- they must be doing that worldwide, using pretty girls, etc?
  13. Do you think this is some kind of scam? And what would someone gain from it? I recently joined another free local website which is a general board similar to this one, ie. Jobs/ housing/ business/ dating/ community, etc, the usual stuff. After a few cans one night about six weeks ago, I posted a free anonymous ad on one of the dating sections, which doesn't give away any personal details other than the advert itself- contacts through that site only. I forgot about the whole brief thing the day after, until... Then, a week later I got a redirected (via the site)email in broken English from a young Russian woman(fairly pretty I guess, not a model), who sounded nice enough, even 'genuine' and friendly. I was bemused but replied anyway, using an email address I don't usually use for anything important- maybe I shouldn't, but I have a fatal spontaneity. I kept on corresponding vaguely -nothing too personal- until I questioned her motives(why emailing from so far away; what do they want to happen; why bypass some of my other questions, etc), not giving anything of my background away. She stopped being in touch after I did. The same happened with two more Russian girls, me again replying the same guarded way. I began to think that these girls sounded similar in certain ways, (ie. the type of boyfriends they'd had; they used internet cafe's and not PC's at home) not the same women, but each like they weren't really absorbing certain unimportant things I'd said (ie. hobbies, pets, landmarks in my country etc). I wondered if it was some kind of scam, that the girls were being coerced and organised by some Russian blokes making women do this? If so, for what?
