  1. Not necessarily as the you will not hear what the barrister for each party has said.
  2. 3. Surely if the hospital 'cocked up' as you put it the family would have recieved a huge amount of compensation which is to cover the child's extra needs throughout his life? As Chris_Sleeps has already pointed out this isn't a human rights issue it is something that needs taking up with the local authority.
  4. Thorntons do those chocolate car shape models (bit like easter eggs cos they are hollow) and they can have writing put on them.
  5. Looking to get a spare battery for my Canon 400d. What sort of price should I be looking at paying and would you recommend a Canon one or are other brands/non-branded ones just as good.
  6. Thanks for the comments so far. I've had another look online and seen some which have space for a few extra personal items e.g. Lightweight jacket, purse, mini umbreall etc etc and saw these two within the price range I am looking at. http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/13595053/Lowepro-Fastpack-100-Backpack-Black/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518%7Ccat:13595053%7Cprd:13595053 http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/77272/show.html?cm_re=RECENTLY-_-110510-_-RecentlyViewed Any views?
  7. I'm looking for a bag/case so that I can carry my camera with 70-300mm lens attached. Have done a bit of research and found these type of backpacks http://www.amazon.co.uk/DURAGADGET-Padded-Rucksack-Backpack-PowerShot/dp/B0030U0V0G/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top Obviously there are much better quality ones but they are more than I am wanting to spend and I am only just starting out so don't need something too big. Can anyone recommend one or would the one in the link be okay?
  8. There are lots of measures in place for victims of crime and witnesses in Court. The Witness Service provide volunteers in the Court building to give advice and assistance in relation to Court procedures and information about how to claim expenses. They can arrange pre Court visits so that victims and witnesses are more familiar with the Court building. Additionally if certain criteria are met, special measures such as giving your evidence via video link or behind screens can be applied for.
  9. Most probably HMP Doncaster, initially at least.
  10. That article doesn't mention this Sunday, it is only referring to the fact that the Vulcan is based at Doncaster Robin Hood for the Summer season. Try calling the airport to confirm.
  11. Whilst that is true, getting a paid position as a paralegal in a solicitors firm without any legal qualifications is very difficult. I have plenty of friends with law degrees and some who have even completed the LPC but cannot get a paralegal position. It is far more difficult that it used to be. If you think you might like a career in law I would strongly advise you to apply for some unpaid work placements firstly to decide whether you do want to pursue a career in law, and secondly to see how sucessful you are at obtaining work placements.
  12. Correct. A three year law degree (or one year conversion course costing around £7,000), then the LPC (costing around £11,000) and then very, very tough competition to get a training contract. You will be competing with people from Oxbridge and the like. You also need to have lots of relevant work experience including unpaid placements with solicitors, mini pupillages, debating, voluntary work with CAB, etc etc. It isn't an easy profession to enter and if you don't have good grades/relevant life experience and a top CV you will struggle. Not wanting to put you off but just trying to make sure you understand that it isn't something to commit to without making sure it is REALLY want you want to do.
  13. I would have to agree, especially with the first part.
