Does anyone know of anywhere that is doing a special menu for this day? As a big fan of yorkshires just wondered if there was anywhere local celebrating the day. 3 courses of yorkshires....

Worst Road Surface In Sheffield??
darrendpc replied to old tup's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
it has to be stevenson road, attercliffe. Steel works and scrappy on the same road, very heavy traffic, theres humps and holes everywhere, impossible to dodge them even. Drive slowly or pay the price -

You can see why it is so popular, woods relatively close to parking, two raods passing close by, water and woodland for cover. I also wish people would respect the place. I have spent the night here in the past, but i have the utmost respect for nature, and my surroundings, leave it as you find it! But it is sickening to see how much it is disrespected this place is, i went for a walk once in the day time here through the wood, and found a fire still burning away, i couldnt believe it. I had to put it out before i left, even though it meant several trips to the stream with my water bottle. Absolutely shocking! Its ease of access should mean it can be policed easier than some other places in the peaks. But eliminating it altogether kinda goes against what open access land is all about. The main problem is the standard of human being that wishes to spoil it for the rest of us! There is just no respect anymore :-(

Moving to Sheffield on 01/05/2012
darrendpc replied to themanfrom's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Good luck mate, ive been here for a while now, and have had the option of moving away, but never wanted to. As far as cities go, its a pretty good one in my opinion, better than Manchester and Leeds for sure. As far as networking goes, i personally found football a good way of meeting new friends etc, also the forums. There is loads to do here to keep you busy and entertained, transport is pretty good also, its not a mad maze to learn your way around, although if your driving into the city centre, it can get a bit confuddling. All the best to you sir. I hope you enjoy your adventure! -
very good :-)

I saw a bloody big bird tonight after detouring due to an accident. It was just off Staniforth Road, near the park near the fire station. Was thinking of taking my camera and zoom lense out, but its near a park lol people may get the wrong idea lol I have no idea what it was, it made me stop and look though. Ended up in some conifer trees on the far side

Ive heard rumours of one possible development appearing just off the motorway/shepcote lane near meadowhall, not sure how true it is though.
