After being inspired by robS35's shots of California earlier this summer, here are a few shots from my trip to the USA this summer. The first was taken with my little point and shoot, the others with my DLSR. 1) Long Beach at sunset: 2) The Grand Canyon: 3) Hunk:

Can you recommend a Physiotherapy clinic?
Laddo replied to Voyager's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I'd also like to recommend the White house at crosspool. They did wonders with my lower back a few years ago. Iralee there is fab but I think she's only part time. -

Photographic outing/get together (SUNDAY 1/8/10 at 9:30am)
Laddo replied to astraman's topic in Sheffield Photography
Astra Man - I love "Rocks" - its very moody and makes me think of Wuthering Heights! SOrry I missed the meet, haven't been to one for ages but will keep my eyes out for any future ones. Are the competitions still running?????? -
I love the black and white fairground pic - looks like it could be from the 1950s. I'm off to Southern California in 15 days and you've inspired me. I'll post some random pics on here when I get back!

Hi Sheffield Uni now runs two courses - the basic intro one and another which follows on from it. I've done them both. The tutor is a really friendly guy called Phil Roddis and I'd recommend the courses. You can get info from institute of lifelong learning on West Street!!!!!!

Would this photography course be any good?
Laddo replied to toodlepip's topic in Sheffield Photography
I would recommend the courses at Sheffield university. I did one last year "Digital photography for beginners" and learnt a hell of a lot - mainly from trying things and talking to people. I'm doing the next one "DSLR photography" next term and can't wait for it to start! Both cost £120ish -
I really like that idea Astraman. It doesn't look real!

Same here - would be interested but need details!

That is lovely - really spooky!

Second one is lovely. The advice I was given on here that really hepled me with close up animal photos was to concentrate on the eyes - its more important that they are in focus than anything else because they are what people look straight at!
