  1. Rome wasn't built in a day Weazel. Keep persevering and you'll come good..
  2. Oh dear Mr. Presley, I know you can get easily confused, but forget Amanda, and read post 26706. Do try to keep up..
  3. Lost all interest in the Blades now. We all new what the outcome of this season would be, so no surprise there.. Quite frankly I've got bored with them, having said that, they are the most consistent team in the Prem. A poor Manchester 4 Blades 0.
  4. Wish I was there Mr. Owl. But unfortunately it's not like the old days when you could just pick a match and pay at the turnstyle.. I've been at Hillsboro many times in crowds of 40,000 plus. The atmosphere is unbelievable. I'd love to savour it again. I gave up the ghost 10 or more years ago. I create my own atmosphere, with a can or two of beer, thanks to radio Sheffield.
  5. That's not a surprise, fantastic support..
  6. Can't remember last time I visited a Chippy.. Birds eye, or Youngs fish fillets from Iceland, Aunt Bessies frozen oven chips, some onion rings, and a dollop of BBQ sauce on em. Cheap as chips..
  7. Good post Mr. Noodle. That gaff by the Blackburn goalkeeper was pure comedy. I'm sure it will be shown many times. These things happen, funny old game...
  8. You will be glad to know that the Fat Lady has a bad case of Laryngitis. Things are looking up.
  9. Hope you enjoyed your day Mr. Owl. You and your compatriots deserved that today. The great escape is well and truly on now.. Well done Wednesday.
  10. Another sell out crowd Mr. B. Think a win will see us safe.. I'll go for for 2-1 the Owls.. And by the way it's the fat lady that does the singing!
  11. I'm afraid Amanda has gone OTT with the lipstick tonight Mr. P.
  12. Mr. Presley still has his delivered every Wednesday.
  13. Well Jim, I knew they'd win by 2 goals... Anyway I've been to my daughters for Sunday dinner, so I set of at 12-30 (Kick of time) so I could listen on the car radio. Blimey, I'd only gone a couple of miles, when Wednesday scored. Chucked mi arms in the air, and screamed YESSSS!!! at the dashboard, the car swerved, and I nearly demolished a Lamp-Post. When I got to mi daughters the score was 1-1. So thought I'd leave it at that till I got home.. Got home at 6pm. And I daren't look for the final score. I did manage to catch the penalty shoot-out in the semi-final so that took mi mind of things for a bit. Next job was to put the washing away which I'd done early on.. At this point I'm a seriously nervous wreck.. It's got to be done, it's no good I've got to do it! So on goes the Tele-Text. I cover half the screen with one hand and see how many Blackburn have scored.. 1 goal I espy, well at least we haven't lost. but have the Owls managed another goal? I slowly move my trembling hand sideways to the right.. Then, YIPPEE! we've done it! I could feel the tension leaving my body, and being replaced by euphoria. Bluddy daft in-it.. Bill Shankly was right. Now I can't stop looking at the league table, after a season being in the bottom two their now out of the relegation zone, I'm sure I must be dreamin. Ah well only another two games to stomach.. Football I hate it.........
  14. Well they've certainly kept football alive in the city. It's almost like chasing promotion again.. Them loyal Owls fans deserve summat to cheer about.. I'll stick mi neck out and go-- Blackburn-0 Owls-2.
  15. Well that's very good of you Mr. P. It's a step in the right direction, But I find it very hard to forgive your past misgivings about our Amanda.. Maybe, just Maybe, you've seen the light at last.
