Even as a United fan I can not disagree with you on this as I feel McCabe got the balance all wrong by not investing half in the club instead of been like that mouse out of pinky and the brain and trying to "TAKE OVER THE WORLD" As in all walks of life ifs and but's won't get us back to the promised land of the premier league, I think both sides of Sheffield deserve better than we have now ,Proud supporters deserve a club to match that pride we all have.

I think Warnock felt as though he was stabbed in the back by the board as well as (In Warnock word's) Sean Bean's comments after relegation. As already been said Robson's appointment and the money he spent on players that didn't gel or play to the team's style was a big mistake, yet this is United downfall we have always employed mediocre managers in quick succession after getting rid of manager's that have done miracles for us. (eg Harry Bassett, Warnock) I'm sure at the time United employed Speed as Manager we could have been more ambitious by trying to sign Phil Brown,Chris Houghton to name a few, I admit at the time i was one of the people saying give Speed time but soon realised the error of my ways. We need to give Adams time to rebuild get rid of the dead wood and hope for a quick return to competing at the top end of the championship. Hope the board back him and like they gave Warnock time to build a team to be proud of.
