  1. Ah I though there was something about the land that meant it couldn't be residential??
  2. This retail park seems to have effectively killed Heeley retail park. is that going to become derelict now?
  3. Recycle bikes in Heeley: http://www.recyclebikes.co.uk/donate-a-bike/
  4. Every term-time weekday morning there is a playgroup in the Meersbrook Park Pavilion at the bottom of the park. On Wednesday mornings St Paul's (Norton lees lane) do a baby/ toddler group (with a baby space and a toddler space. The church opposite the heeley retail park do one also on a wednesday (with bacon butties) - better for toddlers than babies see also http://www.netmums.com/sheffield/local/index/baby-toddler/parent-toddler-groups/woodseats
  5. Blocked by fire engine and police tape just after Rushley Ave? (coming up). anyone know why?
  6. As a cyclist, when coming home to sheffield on the hathersage road, I always slow a little at sheephill road and longline junctions because impatient motorists waiting to pull out/ turn right in front of me often don't see me/ mis judge my speed (which can be quite fast going down hill). Other bad junctions in this respect are the bottom of Dore road when coming back from Owler Bar, and when descending Ringinglow Road the junctions to Hangram Lane and Common Lane. I sit up a bit to look a bit more visible and slow down/cover my brakes and try make eye contact with any drivers waiting to make a move.
  7. I heard this from S8 (nr chesterfield road) I even checked my phone clock so I could be a witness if anything came up
  8. We are moving to Dore. Even the totley forest kindergarten school is abit far for a drop off (we want to be able to walk to drop off). So yes in theory - but location/proximity is a massive facor for us. ---------- Post added 04-02-2015 at 11:25 ---------- Another factor is that toddler Mk II is only 18months and we really need a single drop off. Most seem to start from 2 years minimum if I'm right?
  9. How about swimming? Pretty good skill from a safety point of view.
  10. Oh my goodness my little girl loves paw patrol! and there were no toys to be found anywhere (of any half decent quality) at christmas.
  11. Derbyshire lane wasn't looking too bad at lunch time. Coach cleared etc.
  12. Ah that has happened in my street (woodbank cr) more than once actually - parked car set off sledging.
