carosio replied to SheffieldForum's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
But avoidance is not illegal, evasion is. Why criticise companies taking advantage of the rules that parliament has set in order to minimise their tax bill? -
Yes, point being that he feared that he would and have to abandon his organic veg garden, raised beds, cherry tree, plum tree, grape vine, all of which took him 9 years to estabish, and possibly end up in some vandal-plagued maisonette/flats.

About 4 years ago a friend held a joint tenancy (3 bedroom) with his wife. They divorced, she left, and the Council deemed the house too large for a single person (tenancy rules) so wanted him out. The only way to stay there was to buy it, which he did.

Don't think theyve raised any since the outset. There are some that I think have been raised after serious damage, they have a tarmac "collar" around the edges, these do seem to last a while. -

I don't know much about them, but I would do plenty reseach on the subject before going ahead; issues such as buildings insurance increase, durability and reliability of the control systems etc. Also, possible damage to slates during installation, warranties, etc etc. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/all-you-need-to-know-about-electricity-generating-solar-panels-including-the-cost-and-benefits-plus-when-best-to-install/ar-BB1kxexC

Sheffield Homelessness At All-Time High
carosio replied to SheffieldForum's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
If immigrants don't figure on the statistics, then this would imply that they are all housed and homelessness is confined mainly to indigenous people? -

It's Easter So Are You Having A Hot Tick Bun ?
carosio replied to *Wallace*'s topic in General Discussions
Same with Lidl last night. I might even have been pursuaded even if they were hot tick (well cold tick really) but I would have "crossed" out the tick and put my own cross on them.
