  1. I went for lunch yesterday and was really dissapointed with the food! I had fishcakes; they (or should I say it, there was just one little one) didn't taste of anything and looked like it had come out of a packet, frozen... the chilli and coriander sauce was just a drizzle of olive oil round the side of the plate! It's a lovely location and the service was great, but then again we were the only people in there!! There was no atmosphere whatsoever!
  2. I'm doing an article of Chavism and just wondered: Is Sheffield, a 'chavvy' city? What defines a chav? Is anybody offended by this term, or believe that it is an attack on the White Wokring Class? Can we compare this term to racist/homophobic terminology, or is it somewhat a much more lighthearted, jokey name?
  3. You're right about meat, but I was chatting to the waitress the other day about the lack of vegetable dishes and apparently they do all kinds of vegetarian dishes, but unfortunately, for some bizarre reason they're not all on the menu! : S Anyway, they're doing up a new menu and adding a larger vegetarian section. She also said they're arranging a Turkish night for maybe a months time, complete with live music, a bellydancer, mezze and hubble bubble (shisha) Cannot wait!!
  4. Ruby Lounge, on Carver Street (next to Crystal, opposite Flares) is a really nice fave of mine and usually very chilled, and quiet during the week! Lovely atmospheric place to relax!
  5. I absolutely love Zeugma! If you like Zeugma, you'll also like 'The Two Brothers' on Spital Hill! It says Mediterranean, but it's actually Turkish : S Confusing I know! It's just as good as Zeugma, but even cheaper. I'd suggest trying it as they do different dishes!
  6. Do try it out! I checked it out today, after seeing it on here and tried a 'Summer Blush'; smoothie, mango, strawberry n orange. yum!
  7. Has anybody else tried the new Turkish/Mediterannean restaurant on Spital Hill? I tried it last weekend and loved it so much I've since been back twice! The foods fantastic, the service was great and it's really cheap-perfect for us students. Don't know why its not busier... the location I think.
