  1. Hello! Walking my doggy this morning, I spotted a Blackberry Curve on the grass to the side of Arbourthorne Rd. It was pretty sodden, but took it home. My intention was to dry it out and try and call a previous number and get it home safely, however, having dried it out, it has a password protecting it and I can't do anything. Please pass this on to anyone who may be missing a phone or had one pinched... If you can tell me what network it is and what the background picture is then I'll happily return it, in the mean time I'll try calling the network and seeing if they can give me any details (I'm guessing not!). Ta!
  2. Hello! My rotti girl is a bit down at the moment. We've been to visit my mum and she has two other dogs. Since coming back, Nico has been a bit lonely. Seeing as she's a rotti, lots of dog owners are reluctant to let her play with theirs, but she is soft as a brush and can be really playful. One of her best friends was a tiny black dog, but unfortunately we've not seen him for a while. Gets on well with all sizes! On a lead, she gets a bit nervous since we were attacked by a staffie, and just seizes up and won't be moved. It can look aggressive, but it never happens off the lead, so I think it's nerves and the fear of being unable to run away. I'm wondering if meeting new doggy friends might stop this happening. In the S2 area, be nice to hear from you for perhaps a walk around Norfolk Park.
  3. While I understand that it is really very nasty to have your dog attacked (my timid rotti girl was attacked by a roaming staffy and has never been the same since) I'm afraid as long as there are dogs, this will happen. The law should be for a dangerous dog to be out of control in a public place (I believe it already is), not for dog on dog aggression to be illegal. Some dogs, no matter how lovely, will sometimes take a dislike to other dogs and will have a little scrap- it's natural and part of being a dog. My dog play fights with my mum's lurcher for hours and then they snuggle down and sleep together. I think that your petition is a petition against animal nature and would be impossible to police. Sorry Aoife, I hope you're dog is ok though.
  4. Hello! We went once with our rotti bitch and never went back. The people were friendly, the dogs were lovely, but Nico just wasn't interested enough in balls! We planned to go back and see if she'd grasp it, but she then came into season and we just forgot to take it back up. x
  5. I loved this so much, I thought I would share.... Bad doggies! I'm certainly going to try it
  6. Hello! I'm massively unfit, and have decided to start running. I tried before, but had no stamina and got disheartened. Just started with the NHS couch to 5k programme and am really excited that I've managed to finish my first day run! Yey! It comes with really good podcasts to tell you what to do and when. Anyone else doing this and wants to chat for support? Beth
  7. Hello! I'm looking to buy replacement bulbs for the multi-function display on my Peugeot 307. The clock isn't working, and I'm thinking it probably is just the bulbs.. I've heard you can pick them up cheaply, but I can't find them online. Anywhere in Sheffield that sells them? Thanks!
  8. Me too! Would love to learn. I know there's a stall in Castle Market that sells the stuff, so maybe the person running it knows something? x
  9. Hello foodies! I have a pack of belly pork strips (cheap as chips in Asda right now!) and want to roast them in some sticky chinese char siu style sauce... kind of like a boneless spare rib. I was wondering if it would work to boil them (like ribs) before I roast them to make all that fat a bit more edible, or should I just roast throughout? Worried about the sugary sauce burning before the fat is fully cooked. Any advice gratefully received! x
  10. It's not a difficult public transport journey from Robin Hood... Bus to Doncaster (20 minutes), train to Sheffield (about 40 minutes), 48 bus from outside the train station straight to Clough Road (about 10 minutes). http://tsy.yorkshiretravel.net/journeyplanner/enterJourneyPlan.do This website provides door to door instructions and is really helpful. Good luck with your studies! x
  11. Thanks to all of you for your (mostly) helpful advice. As it happens, a very nice detective from SYP spotted the post and popped round earlier to pick it up and take a statement in connection with something or other which has happened. Hopefully it might help solve some kind of crime, and at least I don't have it in my house any more. Problem solved.
  12. Thanks for the advice guys, I've called 101 and am going to hand it in this afternoon.
  13. It's scary to me because thankfully I don't have a lot to do with them. What is really scary is that there are clearly people doing wandering about with these knives which could do serious damage. There are few innocent explanations for carrying and dropping a knife like that in a park.
  14. Here you go, Cyclone: It's an evil looking thing and I don't want it in my house. Found in S2, near to East Bank Road.
