  3. hello, you've probably tried these but try facebook or friends reunited. good luck in your search.
  4. Hello, To to get a decent discount on a council house you need to have lived in it for at least two years (if my memory serves me correctly if i am wrong im sure someone will set me straight) if they have have done any work to the house i.e kitchens, bathrooms new windows etc then all these are added to the price you buy it for, in addition to that if you do any work then that is deducted from the value too. iv lived in a council property for 10 years and bought mine last May we got a discount of 24000 which is the max you can get as theyv capped the discount you get.whilst it seems like a cheaper option to go for, the time it takes to process a right to buy an application, meaning your still paying rent, the chance of the value not been what you expect it to be plus the limited discount you may get if youve not been a tenant before, it may be an idea to have a look round for a property to buy privately. good luck and i hope you get something sorted out soon, the whole housing system has changed since i got my first house i drove past an empty house rang and enquired about it and i signed for it the following week.that was back in 1997 guess the population of sheffield has increased dramatically which is why theyv felt the need to change the system, doesnt make it right but i suppose they have to make it fair to everyone.
  5. not suprised your feeling scared think i would have papped my pants, so to speak, hope you sleep well tonight, was probably some drunk trying to find his way home but at the end of the day you cant take the risk of ignoring it,glad you got the help you needed at the time frm the police.
  6. there is no where to park its terrible! i too have twins and was in hospital 4 days with mine my partner had a nightmare trying to park and like you ended up getting a ticket because he got so annoyed at driving round he just abandoned it where he could get a safe space in order to see his children. my son was in hospital back in feb and i was 4 minutes late on a ticket as id been waiting to see his consultant, id parked near the museum and walked down as i could not get anywhere to park near the childrens, i ended up with a ticket on that occasion too,its very very annoying. ive been to chesterfield (calow) and rotherham and never had parking problems, hope your babies are doing ok
  7. its a nightmare i should know:- i live in basegreen and in the last two years my boyfriends works van was broken in to, my people carrier was nicked and recoved minus the seats and a right old mess, my dads car was nicked by youths wanting to get home, they were found but the car was old so that was written of the youths 'cautioned' and then the final one, 3 months ago, some numpty drove down seagrave miss judged the bend and ploughed into my boyfriends car and rought it of. he was going to drive of but my boyfriend dragged him out of the car before he had the chance to do one. How unlucky are we! makes you sick cos these a***h***s get away with it, its us that suffer
  8. i think my daughter has definately witnessed things before:- when she was about 6 she was sat on the end of her bed having a chat and laughing as though she was talking to somone, when i popped my head round on her and asked her who she was talking to too she said the old lady on the end of the bed but shes gone now!! freaked me out a little bit. my grandad died when she was 2.she didnt really know him very well but every so often use to get really upset that he wasnt around.when she was about 4 my dad took her to the cemetery to explain this was grandads special place and where we can g to remeber him, as they were leaving she turned round and waved, when my dad asked her who she was waving too she said her 'big grandad'. gace me goosebumps! my friends son wont go to the toilet at her mums house because of the lady in the bathroom, this went on for months until they got the old family albums out, went through pictures to see if it was anyone in the family, turned out to be a great aunt who he had never seen. another friends daughter always tells her mum and dad that they arent her real mummy and daddy n that her real mummy and daddy died in a car crash where she lived before and thats why she was given to them. i am a strong believer although personally never witnessed anything myself. i just think too many things happen and are seen to be tricks of the mind or over imagination. there may be explanations to all the above things iv mentioned but alot of peple you speak to have seen or heard something that doesnt quite seem right or knw of someone
  9. we had a guy only last week let his dog crap on our front, he looked round to see if anyone had seen and started to walk away. well, my boyfriend had seen him, banged on the window and told him to pick it up,with a few choice words after. its disgusting. we have a pooch and take doggy bags with us when walking him, granted its not very nice to have to clear it up but its not nice when you have to clean it of your kids shoes either.
  10. the nuby teet is really good too and its shaped and is suppose to feel like nipple. i used this teet with my twins and they loved it never had any feeding problems, it may just be trial and error you may just have a tough few days.my friend was in the same psition with her baby and she breast fed him up until been 9 months then got so exhausted she stopped offering him breast milk. may be worth a try but again be prepared for a few rough nights.good luck its not easy.
  11. hi she is ten. i will try both of them thank you
