  1. Like most people in Sheffield, have seen Naz around (Snooker hall next to Lescar and Hadfield in crookkesmoor). Have also seen Gerald Sibon when he played for the owls in Broomhill. Chris Waddle in a cafe on Fulwood Road. David Hirst in a 4x4 on Penistone Road. Steve Davis taking his shoes to be repaired opposite HMV in town. Micheal Vaughn in Broomhill and on Division Street.
  2. Hi. Anybody know when the new Riley's is opening on West Street? Seen a sign below the new apartments opposite Reflex saying that is what it is going to be.
  3. Wondered if anybody knew any good places to play pool in Sheffield? Preferably with a few tables. A few of us like to go and have a game after work but it is getting a bit crowded now round just the one table in our local. Pubs/bars/clubs anywhere. Cheers.
  4. Pink Sharabang (http://www.myspace.com/pinksharabang) They are from Chesterfield and Sheffield and have a song about riding the 57 bus, called '57', funnily enough. Also Champion Kickboxer are a good up and coming Sheffield band.
  5. Thought it quite strange to have in the middle of a street of terraced houses a big Ford dealership. The dealership must be expanding because it is now impossible to park anyway near Chapeltown Park during the day as station road and the park car park are full of Carters collection of cars. The road is also often held up by loading/unloading breakdown trucks. It is handy and I am sure good for Chapeltown to have Carters, but on station road? Surely there could be a better place, and should they use the car park for the park/playground as there own??? I have almost been knocked over walking the dog by staff driving fast out of there without looking and I know residents that have had to park at Asda because they can't get near home too. What are people's thoughts???
  6. Went to Leeds Tuesday and Wednesday for work and they now have a free bus. It runs every few minutes 7am-10.30pm and goes in a circle from train station, round hospitals and round both universities and back. I found this to be a fantastic service. Any chance of introducing this scheme in Sheffield? First make over £50million in profits, surely the could afford such a scheme. Maybe make it part of their contract?
  7. Often see the cars on Station Road Chapeltown with broken mirrors on Sat and Sun mornings on way to shops and there is a van there now with a broken window by the glove box. It is disgusting
  8. Hi Just a word of warning for people who might consider using Enviroheat (Taplin Road). Firstly we were charged £380 for a valve the 2nd company we have had in should have come to about £10. Then we have had them out a number of times since because they fitted a faulty replacement and fitted it wrong. To top it all off the cancelled on us 6 times and we had 3 days off work when they didn't turn up but PROMISED they would. They only came when I got a number for one of their guys and gave him enough grief to come that evening (THEY SAY 24 HOURS but you try holding them to that). Over the months we had no heating and are very disapointed by their customer service.
